"I'll make a picture of you" I told her
"Are you a painter?" she asked.
"No, but I can paint you in words" I answered

I am a goddess
I am strong
I am powerful
I will knock the wind out of you
Make you beg for air
I will bring you to your knees
Pray before you enter the chapel
Of my body
I am a palace
And you should consider it an honor
To enter into my halls
I am made of light and fire
Do not forget that I will blaze and burn
I cannot be quenched
I am an untouched treasure
Pure and rare
Do not disgrace me
Or discard me
I am a goddess
And I refuse to be treated
Like anything

"Talk to me
in poetry"
he said,
so I whispered
nothingness
through the quiet cold air
breathless
for he was my silent prayer
and I
just a pattern
in the chaos

this body of mine
is a sunken ship
wrecked and rusted,
seemingly nothing left to salvage;
this vessel can no longer float,
I know but,
the moss green coating these corroded limbs
a whole spectrum of colour peaking out from behind my curves
an ecosystem,
making a home of an empty frame
this body might be submerged in this unforgiving sea
but don't worry,
there is still life here.

I have a thing for ships/shipwrecks obviously
