The came down from their misty mountain hold
Short of stature but oh so bold
Helms of beaten iron on their heads
Belts of gold on girded waist
Sword Axe and hammer, the tools of war
Oaken shields also worn
They came to beard the dragon in his lair
Bring rescue to a maiden fair
Held in fear against her will
In that rancid caven deep in the hill
Each warrior knew of the danger faced
But would not retreat as coward disgraced
When the searing flame of hell released
Would burn the hair and singe the face
For these were warriors of a race so old
They the dwarves from the misty mountain holds

dance and dance away

enhance that beat
a compass of you
a pitch of high

dance dance that way

round the fire
a walking pulse
preparin' the flight

dance a rising sway

drums' echo rumble
****** and rattle
the bracelets

dance and dance away

close the night
enclose the dark
foster that tempo

dance your dancin' way

call on that rhythm
across a note of blue
comp in colour the chords

dance dance

maybe he'll stay
willing to dance

to dance

I feel so much better,
On another planet, in another universe,
Not on the couch, after too much wine,
Or in the car, too high.
Watching all their faces,
Watching me,
Look at me,
Look at me.
I lack the the understanding of reality.
Chasing after the stars in the trees,
I am the grass, the flowers all smiling.
I am young but I am distant from the thoughts I was born into,
Just looking at them look at me.
Look at me,
Look at me.

Time and risk caught up to you;
Gagged you into silence.
Chasing down the dragon was
Your favorite form of violence.

I saw its markings on your skin;
The gauntness of your eyes
Your searching fingers scratching down
To truth, as you breathed lies

China white won this round, love
You thought you'd always dance
The dragon chose another one
And turned its gaze askance.

I searched for what could not be known
Refusing to surrender I walked alone
It comes to light, that which cannot be seen
Below the surface of what we once believed

I fell in love with a cheating heart
Upon a rainy day
I only wished that I could sleep
And make it go away
Jumping off the cliff of chance
Into the great unknown
The depths of knowledge are far beyond
The fabled streets of gold...

Out there in every tree
Each and every leaf a face
Watching, waiting
Judging my every thought
And there, deeper out back
Watchers clad in camouflage
I gear up knife in hand
I approach them where they stand
With my snow dog companions
As brave as I am they disappear
Not even a footprint in the snow

There under the door
A shadow passes
Yet I am here alone
I search the back room closets
Under each bed
Checking the locks on each window
Where in the hell did that shadow go
What do they want with me

I attempt to lay down to sleep
But the shadows of unrest
Swerve and swirl around me
Images appear in the darkened mirror
Upon the dresser without blinking
I stare waiting for my ******
To slowly close the veil
Between the worlds
My braveness comes mostly from the fact that I have 2 large Huskies.

In this world, I travel
To the paths laid before me, I wander
In the midst of this valley, I walk
Not sure where these paths would take me.

The winds increase their speed
Arise then fall again, I traverse still
Past the lea the mountains
Are upwards sloped, the paths grow rough and steep.

I thought this was path
Plain, worn, and clearly visible to see
I have gone so far now,
The path is dark and steep I feel alone.

Feeling lost in track,
No trail to be found,
I started to venture on my own
Make a new route where no other goes.

I found nothing in venture,
No longer wasting time; but then I found
My heart along the way,
Which longed to be filled with the simplest things.
