Show me a man
Who is happy with his life
And I'll show you a man
Who has the joy of Jesus Christ

Where the worries of this age
In all retrospect
Never dare to compare
To the joy that Jesus has

That's the kind of happiness
We all strive to have
The overflowing joy
That is found in Jesus Christ
a grassy knoll
shots rang out
left a world in fear
with a world in doubt

we watched Camelot
suddenly pass away
on the harsh streets of Dallas
53 years ago today

as the 60's arrived
newly on the scene
hello nightmare
goodbye american dream

on that fateful day
it all fell apart
shot a hole in our soul
left a hole in our heart

when on that grassy knoll
shots rang out
which left a world in fear
to a world in doubt
there are
millions
of reasons
to stay
in bed

pillows
matress
&
blankets
are a few

the way
the sun
is blocked
by curtains
is another

morning air
void
of sadness
negativity
&
pain
is another

but
there are things
that make you
get out
of it

like her
smile
voice
&
existence
Forgive me. I was a bit tipsy when I wrote this.

Sugar tastes so very good
But there is a catch
The white stuff has addictive power
No Other Drug can match!

It lures from every magazine
It's touted on TV
It shouts from the convenience stores
You can even get it free!

You may love the sweet stuff
It's so wonderful to use!
But those pounds will pull you down
You'll sing the Sugar Blues!

Sugar is pure poison
It causes so much pain
And its base addiction
Is so hard to restrain!

Diabetes isn't far
And it sure isn't cute
I have a suggestion...

Buy yourself some FRUIT!

(Chorus)

I've been off site lately. I quit eating sugar and I'm going through withdrawals. Yes. Seriously. It's the hardest addiction I've ever had to kick. It's so pervasive everywhere! I've been a bit depressed since I've been off sugar. Please forgive me for not reading... I don't feel like doing much of anything actually. I'm trying to sleep it off...

God is good and he's helping me. But as the saying goes, God sometimes answers your prayers by handing you a shovel... :/

Take care, everyone. I still love you!

Shine, like the sunrise
greeting the mountainside.
A diamond ring, long lost
beneath beds of snowflakes,
suffocates.
Cold feet abandoned it.

I'm plagued by nimble,
yet fragile, greed;
insatiable.

I traverse and stumble
and stumble and stumble
through a dense mist.
Frozen portraits, precise, turned corpses
litter my focals.
Blurred vision excites
the hibernating nerves
in my numb fingertips.

I blow
into them.
Coarse skin grasps
my cracked pale lips.

I clear my lenses,
steal my senses
and ask for the moon
to cradle me in
its dusty gray craters
while I look for
a fool's broken vows.
