music has a way*
of simply releasing
all the pain
washing away
the bitterness and decay
no wonder we walk all day
with earbuds in our
*heads

             What                       you
           Do in                            life
          And                               death
         And       inbetween        them;
         At            the end             of the
          Day       the wheels        keep
           On                                 going
           Round                         and
               So the                wheels
                  Just keep turning.
A concrete poem to make you think. Enjoy! (Read left to right, each line, like a normal poem. ;) )
I usually know how to say how I feel, but this sadness is too great
Can't write it beautifully, just cry
Every waking moment tears are streaming, nothing can stop them from falling

I wrote you a letter
That you will carry with you forever

I'm sorry
I cannot say
Or write
Anything great
My dad died a couple of days ago.
They told me she died.
So I woke up in the graveyard of my dead dreams,
Took up my trusted shovel,
And like a good old country lad,
Decided to dig her up.

They told me she died.
But I knew they had to be wrong.
Why, there she lay, as unattainable as ever,
Smiling smugly from her coffin,
Mocking me with her fake omniscience.
For Death, may be a great leveller,
And make sceptre and crown
Just tumble down,
But not so her beauty.

They told me she died.
But how could i believe them,
After knowing her wicked wit of Solomon.
With which all her life,
She didn't let death so much as touch her beauty,
For she hid it so deep within,
Veiled beneath the layers of toughness
And faded tee’s,
That even a soldier camouflaging her scarlet skin,
Would be put to shame.

They told me she died.
But they didn't bury her beside me.
But by another man’s side.
Because he was man enough to ask
What i should’ve,
And now she lies buried,
As his bride.
When times get hard,
When times get rough.
When times get stressful,
You need to be tough.

You need to stand tall,
Be sure to stand your ground.
Make sure to smile,
To brighten the world around.

No matter what you go through,
You will never be alone.
Find that single light in the darkness,
And don't let your heart be stone.

You will one day make it,
Right out of the sorrow.
Live as if you were dying,
And won't make it to tomorrow.
