I’m sleeping in
just call me out
it’s the simplest kind of comfort
I do it for me
there’s a softness and care
my, that got so wholesome

I know, I should embrace hardship
adversity builds resilience
it’s darkness that reveals the stars
that last one sounds too good to be original
but I’m not researching it
haven’t you been reading?

I’m sleeping in fugaciously
and metaphorically.
If you’re in the water
it’s good to swim
otherwise
you could be writing.

Fugacious =;&that lasts only a short time.
I know what you’re thinking
I stand here
Remnants of your
spontaneous fetal death
between my hands
I hope you know I held them gently
their presence cared and felt
“we will find out what went wrong”
I repeat to the piece of tissue
you had began choosing names for

All I can imagine is the way
you longed to hold your “almost”
While we label and pack it for pathology
my coworkers unknowingly laugh and guess
what this mangled blobby mess could be

I want to tell them of the pain
That surely marked your face
The tears falling from amber eyes
you hoped to pass down.

“I got you” I repeat to a container
holding what could’ve been a persons world
I am no one in the scheme of things
but right now I feel like the most important
person to have the chance to hold you.
Happily content I travel
Your cares I no longer suffer
I have no fear of nothingness
Pure wisdom is my buffer

Alone but not lonely
The world moves to **** fast
Bring it down to slow mow
Make this moment last

Greet me with your laughter
Trust me with your eyes
Let the time move pass us
On this wheel of life.

Words there are not
to express how I feel

Hearing your words
of your sad ordeal

My heart reaches out
to shoulder your pain

Hoping this song
has a happy refrain

My angels are yours
to carry you through

Til happiness blooms
like a flower anew
Searching for words for a friend facing the death of her sister
