Shreya Srivastava
It's been seven years, she still tries to call him controlling all her fears.
The phone was still dead,
And so was his life;
Somewhere between the game of life,
deep inside her heart hope and love was still alive.
A short poem on all the strong mothers, wives and daughters of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for us.
Hope you guys like it.
Thank you!

Silence the night
The thunder of war
Explosions on camera
   Bodies and gore...
Displaced people
With nowhere to go
Violence and hate
   At its lowest of lows...
Silence the night
Steady and long
Why do we allow
   This night to go on...

I arranged these words
In a emotional array
To match the hue
Of the color grey
Seasons Greetings
Worlds apart
May the night be silenced
Within your hearts
...
Traveler Tim
Very unrestful season I'm afraid.

yuki
i hope one day
i could stop
staring at the stars
in your eyes

to look away
to finally look up
and see the whole universe
beyond my sight.
focusing on something too much may cause us to neglect and not see what else is out there.

Road trips with old cars
With ski racks and kayaks
Park and open the sunroof
And we can fall asleep
Gazing up at the stars,
Or at eachother, whichever
Who's up for a long escape?

The boyfriend spinned the tires
On my daughter's car
As they sped to meet their plane.
I watched the tail lights
Fade into the falling snow,
And prayed,
For the power of prayer.
