The river runs slow today,
as do my thoughts.
Continents of ice collide and separate
over a grey green field of quiet water.
Snow falls at random.
Flakes swirl or streak as God wills.
As uncontrolled as my thoughts,
which drip around like scattered
pin holes in a lost and formless day.

I rage at self inflicted wounds.
Afflicted with terminal incompleteness.
I feel the cold of an empty being,
yet also the warm solitude of self.

I sense the labyrinth that leads to clarity
I reach for it, grasp for it, joyfully.

The river runs slow today,
as do my thoughts , thankfully.

It's like when you were a kid
and you tripped down the sidewalk,
but you didn't fall hard enough to bleed,
and nothing appears to be wrong,
from the outside,
at least,
so you shove those tear drops
back down your eye holes,
and get up,
and keep walking,

like **** that sidewalk.

Your eyes

As I gaze into your eyes
I see the sun rising
You hide behind the clouds
The sky shows your every feeling
I get lost in them
Your eyes
You brighten up my day
Like the moon lights up the sky
I wish I could call you mine
Forever mine
Forever thine

If you want love, you have to wait for it,
If you want trust you have to earn it.
If you want the truth you have to be able to take it,
and if you want freedom sometimes you have to fight for it.

If you want a friend you have to be one,
If you want a good job you have to work for it.
If you want to be heard you need to speak out,
if you want to be seen you have to be noticed
and if you want to be good at something you have to practice.

If you want something you can't always just go out and get it,
you have to be patient, something's have to be earnt others have to be found.
Some you have to work for and the rest you just have to be yourself,
because you can't always rely on someone else.

Come and follow.
down, down this hollow.
Tree, tea and other such triviali-
ties?
Let us land in this lettuce land,
swapping vegetable stories
kissing better our sore knees.
Maybe if we try hard enough
we'll find love.

A spark, a candle lit- as
we share our candlelit dinner; whats on the menu?
Deceit pies, cream lies.
and other some such tasties.

We're too hasty.
Just me, talking to just me
or was it Justine?

We'll never know- a beautiful mess.
I guess.

Again

It's been a long year
And will I ever see you
Again?

My life has eyes
For another man's sun
My eyes are blinded
By another man's sun

And I wonder
Will I ever see you ?

I've worshipped you
Since you entered my life
Now I'm staring alone
Into starless nights

And I wonder
Will you ever see me ?

With different eyes
That wane so blue
With distant eyes
I can't stand losing you

When destiny sighs
At the memory of you
Will these distant miles
Let you see me, too

It's been a long year
And will I ever see you ?

He'll never reach
The depth of your eyes
When you're by his side
Will you feel me there, too?

And will you wonder
If I ever see your beauty
Again?
