From the sky they fall-
The galaxy in your eyes
Gifts me tonight’s stars

2.
That sigh from your lips
An utterance of longing
A song of desire

3.
If tonight I sleep
My dreams will be of your eyes
Will be of your kiss
We sat on the porch watching stars,
the night was supple and warm;
Into the sky we sent our dreams,
being mesmerized by its charms.

Next door a record played aloud,
a song we'd never known;
While holding hands we hummed along,
and the music became our own.

A blissful evening of deepest love,
began with just one kiss;
It seemed our dreams had come alive,
with heartfelt joy we dare not miss.

And as the notes floated through the air,
we exchanged a solemn vow;
To dance through life as husband and wife,
while remembering the 'here and now'.
Every thought
A puddle that clouds your mind
To roll in like a playful child
Sometimes long enough
You mull
To be shrouded by
Sooner or later you dust it off
And lay it down
To be puddled by new
Growths of green
Colour of a faded lime
Not long enough
A forest never enough
There is winters and summers
Seasons of all
There is always, spring
To fall upon

A pen

A pen a pen my little pen
Slowly, I took a little pen
To write a poem with a pen
A poem, to beautify my pen
It’s a bonafide my little pen

A bar-like, my woody pen
A new, and passion my pen
It’s a grey-hued and little pen
And, it has a green bark a pen
Quite soft to touch my only pen

It’s a sharpen, my little pen
An iroko wood made my pen
A yellow part covered a pen
It’s a red, strike on my pen
With a black, strike my pen

Its look like a bow my pen
To write a bit with my pen
Supple to draw on, my pen
Can be use as dotting pen
Enclosed no ink in my pen

A bit looks like my little pen
To write, like my little pen
To sketch well, like my pen
To beautify, like a baby pen
Not like my handsome pen
A pen, is a little pen

I see the beauty in your eyes
Like the cascading skies
The solitary rain came
Before the despairing pain
As your eyes lost glimmer
My world became dimmer
Grey and white
My eyes looked for purpose
Heart shattered into pieces
I roamed the boundaries of abyss
As my tears reminisced
Demons hissed in my ears
Cruel words of temptation

Forgive me my queen
As you left our princess in my hands
I'm sorry for my inadequacies
She looks more like you with each passing day
I look in the mirror and ask myself
Am I really good enough?

Being a poet
is both a pain and a privilege.

All you do is
bleed your emotions
on a thousand pages
while people sing your praises
for ages.
Only a poet will understand.
