Much like my dream
Poetry sanction me
To be anyone
and
everyone
I want to be

To
explore the places
In my mind’s eye
And dwell from the
Most magical place
In all the world

My
imagination

I like that!

When a heart breaks it falls into shards,
And every time someone brakes it they take a piece with them,
And it gets harder to put it back every time,
Soon enough there’s no pieces to piece together.

I know you sacrifice your happiness to get me to trust you,
I know you will give up someday,
I know you hate this whole situation,
I know this hurts you, that I hurt you.

If I could just wake up and start trusting people again I would,
If I could see the world the way you see it I would,
If I could just trust you I would.
I don’t think you realize how much it hurts me to know how you feel,
And that you would ever give up on me,
It hurts like hell to know I’m hurting you and I can’t do anything about it,
But what about me?
I have been through hell and back,
Forgive me if I can’t trust you,
Forgive me if I can’t forget what I’ve been through.
I’m already hurting and your not helping.
All I can think about is how much I hurt you.
Are you thinking about me?
What About Me?

I loved you as one loves their significant other,
But I see you different now.
I can’t deny you’re the perfect piece to my perfect puzzle,
But I can’t love you romantically...
I hope you’re okay when I say I can only love you as a brother.

I know my texts don't excite you anymore,
But you are polite enough to reply it anyway
And if I call you, you'll receive it too
But I know you cringe when you hear my voice
Just for the night , you needed me
Just for that one night
The night's already over
But I m not over you yet

I remember everything, so clearly in my head
How beautifully you sang, & I sang along with you
How you made me laugh, laugh & laugh so hard
How you held my hands & we tried to dance
How your lips blew life to my cold and dry spirit
How the butterflies in my stomach fluttered
How my cheeks turned crimson and I looked away
But you kept on staring at me
Like  you wanted to fall in love...

I did not undress my body that night,
I undressed my soul
I put it right in front you
Just in its purest form
I let you see me,
See all my imperfections
I told you all my fears,
The secrets I hid inside,
I thought this is it,
This is what I had been looking for,
My soul was happy
And thought it had found "THE ONE"

Little did I know, it was only for the night
Just for that one night
So tell me who do I blame?
Blame you for setting up my hopes high
Or blame me for believing the truth like lie
Or should I just blame the night?
The night for lasting just awhile.......

Too many people,
Too many faces, and not
Enough time to breathe.
