"I've fallen in love,
And her philosophy is divine" he said.
"Her words, they cascade.
From her mouth- enchanting like surf on the sea.
Her views expressed with anguish and creativity."
I told him to run away.
"She's just well spoken, well versed".
But he only cursed me,
And his heart became hardened.
She had divided,
She had decided,
On his behalf.
He was a sacrifice, and she had to eat .
The long awaited sequel to Lovesong #1

"I've fallen in love,
And she's so beautiful I could die", he said.
"Her hair, it flows.
As much as a pixie cut can flow.
Her eyes, they glow.
As much as the gates of heaven can."
I told him to look away.
"Love is a child's game. Don't be a fool".
But he was a ****** fool,
And his heart was set upon her.
Finding,
Dining her.
After all,
She was a delicacy, and he had to eat.
I wrote this about my friend who fell for someone who was 100% wrong for him.

She turns to look at me.
Wide eyed,
Me- beguiled.
My anxiety begins to fade away into the unknown,
A desert,  sands,
Both together and alone.
Thinking to myself;
"How lonely,
How lovely".
Though many have heard, so few have seen.

The fairytales and stories,
The endless signs and warnings,
"Don't get too close" they say.
But I don't care,
I'm not even aware enough to care.
Isaac worked 14 years for Rebecca.
But I would work 14 and 7 more,
And 7 years again if my god so desired,
Just to catch a glimpse,
To witness.
The band Tinariwen have a song called Tenhert, which is tamsheq for "doe".

The black shawl-like quality
Of the nothingness
Wraps itself around everything.
A constant emptiness
That makes all full.
Its veins run blue
And gold and scarlet
And every hue between,
It dies as it arises.

The nothingness embraces all,
Easily, it encases me.
In everything and anything.
And that which I lack
I supplement with hope.
A chain mail lie linked
With fragile expectations
Of love and other drugs,
Other falsifications.

This tapestry holds whispers,
Secrets and blueprints
To all of creation.
Globes of dying light
That crash in the dark.
But alas I can see
Its stars are not cross'd
For me [cue tears],
I fear my script is lost.

Perhaps when the dopamine
Corrodes and rots my brain,
My soul will take the reins.
Connected to the cosmos
It tells me everything,
But yea, it shows me nothing
Except tantalising flashes
Of what could be,
In its swirls of red and azure.

Holbein paints us together.

Fortune teller,
Truth ******,
gifted beyond his young age.

So;
let us listen to his forecasts
even if to do so is Folly.

What does the crystal ball see?

Adoringly applauding
Arrogant acrobatic aristocratic,
Bourgeois bad-boys.
Braving boredom and bills,
Caught controlling criminal
Circles like a circus.
Daring to do, and to deceive
Desperate damsels in distress,
Each accepting enemies.
Everyone explaining elements
From the final fights
Frought with frustration.

Getting groovy- grown old
Garnering glittering gold.
Holidaying in Getafé,
Holding onto hands of harlots,
Implying impotence and insolence,
Ignorant in their ilk.
Jovially joking,
Jesting about juvenile jealousies;
"I kissed Katie Kurtis"
Knowingly comments one kid.

Left to love and lose,
Like Caesar and his laurels,
Making music and malice,
Manifesting manic malpractices.
Natalie narrates,
"Not now, not ever".
Obvious obstacles avoided,
Objectifying objects that are obsolete.
Praying, pondering over pros,
False prophets photographed as they pose.

Qualifying quangos,
Quantitative quelling of queries,
Raising riots and runctions,
Realising regal and royal remedies,
Celebrating summer solstice,
Solitude is bliss.
Try tampering telephones
To transcribe threat of treason,
Unreal unilateral promises
Unwound by underlying urchins.
Vowing to voice very real values,
Vox pop video views.
Wearing water coloured wellingtons,
Wondering over wax cuneiform works.

Xylophone playing exemplary,
Xavier exists in the imaginary.
Yearly yearning for you,
You're yoked as Gonne with Yeats
(unequally)
Zeroing in on Ritz and Rubble,
Rubble the Zealots want to reign.
I wrote this as an exercise in rhyming and vocabulary use. It was fun

Rain falls
on You and all your dolls,
and your screams
are whispers, in your dreams.
Tossing, and turning over,
void of love or lover.
Void of destination-
lacking the imagination
to spy with your little eye,
that very slight difference,
between good night
and goodbye.
