dust cloud heavy
in an apricot sky
cottonwood mucker
under ambrose pale
whippet and shepherd
mill at the earth patch
yellow birch hangs
over red bench park

combine shavings
in crack rust brown
scissors chips fall
at the back stop
whiskey jack looters
sing patented chords
siblings (and 2 wheel enthusiasts!)
give thanks

joyous retrievers
master the criss cross
bare maples stand
at settlers way
barred owl and blue jay
whistle in the fore-wind
ghosts
and goblins
pull on the seeds

wind gusts belt
over the west gulch
a blood rush churns
in the chilling fall morn
hallowed grounds still
at the midday
quiet reflections
of the afghan
and hound

jumpers unite
at the oxbow
route runners bend
(on a sultry foray!)
meadows exposed
in the framework
ball parks empty
with pennants past

barrel dirt favors
the brew house
crimson and copper
find bracken ridge gate
harvest hands savor
the honey and hops
blankets of color
for a winter's hatch

brush fire kept
under steady peruse
bark bites fly
and embers glow
pine cones drop
from the timber tops
3 wick candles
grace the dinner place

shiver and ******
at the piper's call
cob web dew
on the shadowy gates
a chilled mist mellows
the season's return ~
poets and artists
and dreamers awake
i once wrote a poem
that touched both our hearts
way back when
we were in love

so much so
with the feeling then
that i'd love to have
it all back again

where i pledged my life
to you in rhyme
from the here and now
through eons of time

that's where you said
you loved me back
in your very best
poetic finesse

two lovers caught up
inside of the rhyme
when i wrote a poem that time
of your love and mine

there is nothing more
distracting than a boy who
does not love you back
He is consuming my thoughts.

Dancing in the rain
Forget all the pain
Till dawn
To forget all we done before
From the very first glance
I was seized.
O woman of no choice!
You are the focal of anima!
You have been created
In God's image
In me.
You are the archetype.
O woman of inevitability!
I have no choice but to love.
And from the very first glance
You were seized.
I am a man of no choice!
I am the focal of animus!
I have been created
In God's image
In you.
I am the archetype.
I am a man of inevitablility!
You have no choice but to love.
In the end
we die
This journey in life
it's all lies
We are never truly connected
everyone leaves
You're always alone
*inside...
In your *******
Your beauty
Is compressed.
When you walk,
Eyes chase you
To sip
For the ached soul.

Blot

She was a blot
Blot of emotions
She came oozing out of her mother's womb
Her first word was a cry
And she has been tender since then
Beauty of the world broke her
And her laugh was a wonder
Yet seldom she smiled
Because it was melancholy which has died her skin deeper
Deeper than everything else
She wondered...
Was it all because she was born at night?
Tell me what would you do?
If your mother was told
That she's less than a man,
Or somebody called her old.

Tell me what would you do?
If your daughter came home
With a hole in her heart,
Cause of what some guy's done.

Tell me what would you do?
If your little sister cried,
Cause a man told her,
That she'll never have rights.

Tell me what would you do?
If one day your wife,
Was told that she's worth less,
Than another man's life.

Wouldn't all that upset you?
Wouldn't it make you cry?
Then why would you do it?
And still call yourself a guy.

Let me tell you my friend,
Women are gifts of nature,
Who give love with no end,
They're the mothers who nurture.

They're the daughters we love,
Our little princess at home,
They're a sweet little dove,
That lovely voice on your phone.

They're the woman you'll marry,
And with one you'll grow old,
Oh please my words carry,
Write down what I've told.

If one day you're lucky,
To have one by your side,
Make sure that you love her,
And for God's sake treat her right!
