Dressing room, dressing room
Tell me I'm pretty
Allow me to pirouette
In this small space
To show you each plait
On the skirt I just lifted
Over my trousers
Dressing room, dressing room
Your lights are so bright
It brings out every makeup line
But if I squint
They don't seem so defined
Dressing room, dressing room
How close can I get
To your mirrors
Before they stop
Reflecting
And start
Complimenting

Knowledge  ---

This occurs when we come together

Each in full consciousness

And appreciation

Of all others

                          ( of each other )

///

///

From this perspective ---   Let us  look at our poetry

And we see --- people

BROKEN off from each other

and crying out for
                                                     JUST ONE OTHER PERSON !

to take the place of the WHOLE COMMUNITY

and to see JUST THEM !

to know JUST THEM !

and NOT TO SEE OR KNOW !

                           anyone else

///

                                  ( Why this is thought is NEVER addressed )

:::

Hence

We see a society

Brain- washed and impotently seeking

That which cannot satisfy anyone

( except the MASTERS OF SOCIETY

Who find BROKEN people easy to control and enslave )

//

As we worship the all powerful ILLUSION

this

Y
O
U

Of our fantasies

//

This robotic killer drone LOVER

who is here

" just for ME ! "

and there to CRUSH

                                   EVERYONE else !

( and this done

                                               FOR LOVE ! )

:::

So

I must remind you

That

                               ( Ultimately )

The high purpose of Poetry is

The purification of our Words

producing a greater clarity to our Language

And a greater Knowledge of each other

And a more fruitful experience of our lives

You stopped by to see me on your way out of town.
You said you were headed west because the locals were bringing you down.
As you sat across from me,
I looked into your eyes.
Then it hit, how much I'd miss my friend, as we said our good-byes.

I stood on the darkened sidewalk beneath a lamp that wasn't lit,
As you drove your car away from me,
My heart broke a little bit.
I would never tell a young man never to explore,
Because nobody could have held me back in my days of yesteryore.

A piece of me feels envy.
I'm no longer a young man.
If I were, then I would be with you,
Hand in loving hand.

Maybe once in a while think of me, When. like a stallion, you roam free.
When you kiss the pretty ponies,
Give a kiss for me.
As you blaze your fiery trail until you reach the ocean shore,
Remember that my heart is with you
And shall be evermore.
I have been on both sides of this song. Most recently when a friend went to make his way in California a few months ago. I wrote it just now in about twenty minutes. 5/30/15

Do you ever feel like you're not good enough and never will be?*

Yes, The people around me
They never fail to make me feel so worthless
It's like "I'm trying to be good, I've done all the things you want me to do. What else?"
At times, all I want is to disappear
Maybe. Just maybe,
In their eyes, they'll start to appreciate me.
