Lapis & Shungite  

Speckled clouds of fool’s gold 
over soft cerulean 
and jadeite green
 in the little world in my palm  

aptly paired 
with my cracked black sphere 
with its own pyritic veins  

and so I’m seeking purification
 that little heart of gold
 that is freedom of expression

Maybe it’s a fool’s errand
 but we all have to start at zero

I never thought finding myself
Would lead me to this point
Love yourself before someone else?
Still not quite there yet

But I've made progress
I've moved closer to it each day
With every sunrise breaking dawn
With every moonlight shining

I've come out like a bass drop
Unexpected, unimagined
Everyone taken by surprise
Except me

Because I'm finding myself
And the only person it matters to
Is me and myself
I'll March to the drum of my own heart

I'm in a tunnel,

As the choppers fly low

Over the belly of damnation,

Looking down at

The fractured city

From the 44th floor,

I'm a gun turret,

Hit or miss

The light pours out of me,

Now I'm a solar panel,

A Christmas tree,

Powered up

And manufactured,

The sum of my parts

Somehow worth more

Than what it means

To be human.

badger beauty

i like too watch the badger roaming through the night
with his furry coat with colors black and white
such a lovely creature so beautiful to see
wandering through the fields so very wild and free

underneath the moon shining oh so bright
just to watch the badger brings me such delight
he never seems to rush he takes it nice and slow
this creature of the night gives life such a glow

i saw dolphins dancing while i was out at sea
stood up on there tails dancing wild and free
dancing in a circle going round and round
talking to each other in there dolphin sound

they looked very happy just dancing in the sea
happy and content as happy as can be
every one in unison just putting on a show
just to watch them dance gave my heart a glow.
