LETITFXRING
Suicidal thoughts,
Overthinking,
Cutting,
I
Eventually let
Them get to me, don't let them get to
You
Wrote this as a third person

Paint for me a dream
Colored in hues of emotion
Steeped in love
And dusted in music
People
don't
change;

opinions
      do.
Remarkable marks marring mankind
Cuts and scrapes, healed long ago
Reminders of a dangerous past
Proof that nothing wont last
Stories of our decisions
Preserved upon fleshy skin
Tattooed secrets of accidents and slips
New and shiny, fade to lines
Ridges and bumps
Beautiful imperfections, they’re signs
That we are growing
And our past is tagging along

So hold on to the memories
Embrace those discolored marks
Be thankful that you have…
Scars
Today I got a letter in the mail stating that this poem is going to be published!!!

I'm not sleeping
because I'm afraid of the nightmares
        I bare
when I'm asleep and no one's there.

I'm not sleeping
because I fear,
in less than a day,
she won't be there
or she'll push me away.

I'm not sleeping
because I think about the things to
        come -
the good and the bad.

The nightmares keep me up.
More attacks on the innocent
to be screened inside.
Mostly in schools,
once underground.
Flaw-full students,
ones with glasses or inconsistent
        tardies.
Or innocent princesses,
animated and have come to life.
Attacks from the power gone evil.
Principals become ******
and evil witches or queens grow
        the size of skyscrapers.

The innocent become meerkats
in the ground when the hyena
appears.
Travel great depths to find the one
to help them save the world.
Wake up before justice is served.

I'm not sleeping
because I can't stop the mare
and save my mind.
Wake up in fear
and then have her push me away.

But I need to sleep
so I don't explode
when I am pushed.

I'm not sleeping
because of fear.
On the drive there
We learned that it's not only your car that is quirky

During pictures
We learned how our fingers twine just right

Dancing on glitter coated floors
We learned that neither of us know what we're doing

And on my front steps
We learned how we fit together
Sometimes
quite is all you need
Silence
is as comforting
as the warmth
of one thousand voices
You don't need to speak
Quiet
says it all
Emotions flood
ebb and flow
with your eyes
locked on mine
Talk to me
in other ways
We can mumble
through the night
another night
For now words
are difficult
Quiet is all we need
