When I stare at mirrors
My eyes disrobe the lies
And shadows of my mind
Til I'm left with emotions
Creaking on worn floorboards
Stepping into a noose
Kicking the insecurity out
And waiting to find out
If I died
Or was set free
//On anxiety and insecurity//

I'm learning that I am extremely insecure about myself and am terrified of loneliness even though I tend to keep people at arm's length.
Will you
Or won’t you,
Can you
Or can’t you,
Another paradox
Unclaimed

I survived the 60’s,
can I ask the same of you…

With soul in tact, my body wracked,
and conscience split in two

My parents now have I become,
these days of future past

With bloodshot eyes and memory owned
—by that decade not to last

Old man
Old heart

Stuck in his old ways
Losing his good days

Old man it's too late
to be loved

Olden
Golden

Youth has stolen
Your daze
Your eyes are blurry
Old and worried

While wrinkles cover your face

Old man turning gray
Old heart slowing pace
She'll never love your gray

Old man it's too late
To be loved

Old man
Old hands

Time has taken away
Any chance for your past...

To change -

Stuck in your old ways
Losing your good days

Old man
It's too late

To be loved
