No coverage
In the rear!
Testing to see if this post gets seen or just disappears into thin air...
So many poems from other writers not showing up on my stream page.

Little magpie,
don't leave bed -
stay the day instead.
I have coffee, bread -
we'll be fed -
but that thigh
must elude this eye
or I lose the thread.
Did I hear you sigh?
Little magpie,
don't leave bed.

Color of the rainbow.
Which one you?
Color of the rainbow.
Which one you.
When you're in a good mood?

When you're sad?
I see blue.
When you mad?
I see red.

Color of the rainbow.
Which one you?
I see green.
When you show your envy?
Even when there is no reason?

I see purple.
I see orange
I even see yellow and you're not a coward.

Yes, the color of the rainbow is within you

Unpolished Ink
Pile them up
stack stone on stone
hold each one
bone on bone
feel the rocks
between your fingers
rough and smooth
the feeling lingers
weigh each pebble
in your hand
lift it from the shifting sand
let it fall from where it came
to a rock it's all the same
one tiny part of an endless game!
Rocks are patient!
frost bitten, burdened
with a rucksack of sorrows,
we unravel doubts casting them
far below . . .
the darkened riverbed
channeling heartbreak
through an embouchure
of song, harmonic breath
of winter's solstice, lilting promise
tilted toward warmer seasons
hope's amulet inscribed
with goldenrod
and swallow's melody
May the days of winter's darkened footsteps lead us toward a new year where sunlight beckons in unfiltered joy.

A sip on my coffee
Make my mind free
Sitting alone on the corner
Hearing the sound of a thunder
Seeing the sky cry
Behind all of this is a lie
