are one. It has always been

The majority of nights,
I spend on my bed,
and in my head.
Sleep then becomes
a luxury I can't afford,
even though I've worked all year.

you were summer to my heart
and tasted like the first day of spring.

the air was saturated with prayers and dreams
and for once I truly believed Heaven still exists.
