Adam blamed Eve,
Eve blamed the serpent;
the serpent blamed god;
God blamed Adam,

Lilith, the mother of monsters
prefiguring the ****** Mary,
stood off from this & laughed

The fallen angels
(who hadn't fallen yet)
& the Holy Host,
still one congregation
stopped singing
for a moment to think
EMD Jan 2018
With a voice as sweet as sugared coffee
The fool sings at last, hurrah!
The play is made with honey like tones
Bitter sweet words, hurrah, hurrah!
The fat lady’s cry shrivels to nothing,
The fool’s beautiful song, hurrah!
The day is done and the sun is the sun,
Moon fall and star rise, hurrah, hurrah!

But what is this? The fool-
His voice has died, boo that!
The song is ended with a sigh,
“More!” Comes the cry, boo, boo!
“Alas,” says the fool, “no more words have I.”
Here comes the plays end, boo- and hurrah!

Anne Molony
yes,
you can kiss
my rose petal eyelids
my stained cheeks
my humming neck
my willing waist
my burning skin
anywhere on
my restless body
but kiss my lips,
and I'll spend the
rest of my life
aching
grieving
searching for
your stinging tongue

  fate assured me
   we'd burn violently
    but ultimately suns die
     every flame grows tired
      every bulb will break
      every wick will drown
     charred and regretful
    weary and worn out
   drained of energy
  choking for air
i'm not ready
to ignite
just yet
it is inevitable

River
I can't seem to understand
These happenings
Scraped and leathered hands
Wipe away the stinging tears
Of this ardous transformation
Saying goodbye to everything
That no longer
Feeds me
Pulling from my old, tight skin
Growing into
The skin I was meant to be in.
