I have myself so thoroughly fooled,
I'm not sure what the truth is anymore.
I don't know what's real,
Who I know, who to trust.
I don't know who the enemy is,
And they deigned to give me the ROE.
I don't know who my allies are,
Or where I can hide and still be safe.
There's no list I can read,
No dotted line I can sign on,
Nor a box I can check,
To request reinforcements.

love, they said, makes terrible contradictions

they said love makes the heart wild and want to be free,
but it also makes you need a home to find solace in

they said love makes you want to think it through and secure a future
but it also wants you to feel and only feel

they said love gives you the best of happiness, joy, and glee
but it also gives you the worst pains, sorrows, and griefs

facts these may be, i believe fear makes worse contradictions

i'm afraid of living in this world any longer
but i'm also afraid to die

it's not surprising.
fear has always been one step ahead of love

I had only started recovery
After that inglorious accident
That I was faced with a seeming
Herculean task at hand as student
When I was to tackle ten exams
An attempt with forgetfulness
I broke no sweat in doing it
Impossible - what's that?

I looked up from where I landed,
And saw a face peeking over the edge.
Overcome with curiosity,
I forced myself to rise,
And came face to face with a startled girl.
And we started to talk.

I stopped a ******* the edge of the road,
The road we all walk together,
Yet alone.
Her face was red,
Eyes bleary,
Makeup smeared.
She kept murmuring:
"He doesn't love me...
He never did."
Your life isn't about gaining approval from others.
Her head snapped up.
"Who said that?"
An old soul who has walked the same path. The difference is you still have a choice.
A broken sob.
"But it was all a lie..."
Then find something real.
And something clicked in her eyes.
"Who are you?"
They used to call me The Silvertongue.
But the question you should be asking is who are
you?

Don't

Darling,
If you forgive
Just because,
You think you understand
that it is not their fault,
and they hurt you
with no pure intention to do so
and yet, they do it,
again and again,
as if you were
unworthy and unwanted.
And then you struggle,
through obstacles
to change.
In hope that you could
avoid all the hurting,
Just because you think
that you understand that
all the hurting they give
is not their fault,
and you too, are not born to be hurt.
Baby, you don't have to,
change yourself.
They are the problems.
If they hurt you,
again and again,
You need to get rid of them
instead of you
getting rid of yourself.
These people are,
the ones that drown you
deep into the darkness
and say words and pretend
to be the ones
that give you hope and light,
and all the love.
Honey,
save yourself.

Memphis Storm
Wind howling around*
And yet there is no sound
Images going by
One at a time
Only just a memory
A memory that is blurry
For we wish could happen and what does
Overlaps the true reality
A reality we cant face
Cause we are to scarred
And yet we still give chase
With everything going by
With the clock ticking
*I'm still not moving
