Remember those moments of agony
Before the age of puberty
When you fumbled
confounded in surety

When you said those stupid things
that you never meant to say
And to this day it still stings

Remember the friends
you said goodbye to
before you could say  hello and how are you

My how the miles separate
The horizon just titillates
Never touching earth
while the sky scintillates

I picture the high school gym at the homecoming dance you see
Sitting on the pullout bleachers . . . no one danced with me
What is it about the moon
That I miss so much
Hiding in the corners
Of the sky
Peeking between
the shrubbery of the clouds
It's no use, bright thing
I still see you
when we start our day
how it might end

whether we'll see
our loved ones again
after we say goodbye to them
in the morning

wheter the world
will kerp on turning
as we know it

we do not know

yet we asssume

a world built on asumptions
is the only one
we have
Take that step and lift your head high
You have the power from within
Utilize it to the best of your ability
Inspire yourself and others so you all can win
Have that upbeat attitude
Do not ever look back
Continue along that right path
In order to get back on track
A stole a childhood a lost teenage
Youth a past I can't change.
You made me scared of everything
I felt angry and guilty for years.
I will not give you one more day of my
Life or space in my head.
Your words might still haunt me but
You never changed me.
Some day I will be free but I won't carry this hate anymore.
For a long time I carried a lot of hate around with me for year after my dad emotionally and physically abusing me.
I decided not to let him get have anymore of my time or the space in my head.
