raw with love
you're not your hair:
you can cut it dye it curl it straighten it shave it bend it twist it;

you're not your face:
you can hide it under layers of make-up you can put on lenses you can change your face in a matter of minutes;

you're not your skin:
you can cut it draw on it bite it tear it;

you're not your body:
you can lose weight gain weight;

you're not your clothes:
strip them off;

never reduce
yourself
to
a colour
a number
an adjective
a noun

never reduce
yourself
to a simple
word

you are
the thoughts you have at 3 a.m.
the lame jokes you tell your friends
the art you create
the books you read
the pages you have dog-eared
the quotes you have highlighted
the coffee you never finished drinking
the movie you watch after midnight, wrapped in a blanket
the chocolate cake you ate that night with that girl
the slice of pizza you could've eaten but you gave to your best friend
the kiss that still burns on your lips
the cigarettes that sting in your lungs long after you smoked them
the dreams you dream
the worlds you build in your mind
the song that's stuck in your head
the moments you're in the shower
the iloveyous
the ikindaguessilikeyous
the icareforyous
the seeyoulaters
the words you say
the smiles you smile
the laughs you laugh
the loves you love
the hates you hate

you are
an entire universe:
you're stars
and planets
and galaxies
and asteroids
and comets

you are a cosmos
trapped in
a shell.

you are
a gazillion worlds
locked in
a human cage.

never think
of yourself
as of
anything
less.

A Gift
Given in hundreds of ways
Wrapped in thousands of forms
And given for a million reasons
From one to many
Many to one
Or even one to one
Perhaps it is the best gift
That I can ever hope to give.

Ironic enough,
A giver who gives this
Consequently, receives the same.
And the receiver who receives this
Hopes to give the same.
Lucky is the messenger
Who made
Both feel the same,
For he shall partake
Of a gift the same.

It brings a smile
To the teary-eyed
Gives some vigor
To the droopy ear
Has a comforting pat
To those who are down
And a warm tight hug
To those freezing in pain.

It sometimes come as warm,
But never cold
However, most of the time
Taken for granted.
But realizing its true value
Only when it’s given
Some thought and thanks.

Some offer it as warm cup of coffee
On a cold rainy day
Sometimes a cup of Earl Grey
To the old and desolate
And even a chilled glass of milk
To the young and vibrant.
However, again it is not measured
In cups nor glasses
In chocolates nor doughnuts
Naught in roses nor rain droplets
Neither in the moon nor the horizon
For it is far greater and more valuable
Than any of these.

Then again, it can also be a luggage
That the limp can carry
Or a language
That the mute can speak
Or a word
That the deaf can hear
And definitely a beauty
That the blind can see.

Its teacher is pain
And its lover is risk

Its father is Innocence
And its mother is Love
Its brother is Kindness
And its sister is Care

Finally, its offspring
Never fails to give
Comfort and Warmth
Let her name be Smile

And this is what I wish to give you
My gift be called happiness
From Me to You…

Adrift the sea
sails a message in a bottle
A method be chosen
for I who no longer
can muster courage
to spew words
from this tongue of mine.

We may no longer speak
but rest assured
I still call you friend
Regardless if you
Call or treat me as one.

Truth be told
Even if I am no
part of it
My heart is glad
that you have now found
the happiness
that I wished to offer
yet always failed to give.

Sure am I that fate
be blamed
that we met,
meet and will meet,
and destiny be intertwined
on these points.

However, perhaps hands
never joined
for you are a resident
of the light
whilst I a dweller
of the night.

May this find you
in good health
as it carries
my goodwill.
I also wish to
express my praise
for what you achieved
and whatever you
shall find undertaking.

I shall no longer
bring up relics
of the past
as I have left them
and have decided
to continue to grow.

Nevertheless, while I
mingle in the shadows
I am always ready
to stretch out my hand.
But remember that
you must ask
so I may know,
then you shall receive.

For now I withdraw,
Naught I say goodbye
rather saying that
while I make my
presence scarce
I am always here for you.

In the darkest night
When there is no light
In the loneliest hour,
When everyone’s afar
And on that second
I will be there to hold your hand
To tell you its
too early to give up
And too late to quit
To keep you going
And fighting the current
Remember,
I am and will always
be here for you.

May you find
yourself blessed,
may luck find
you in her favor,
may my goodwill come
your way and
may this find you
in the best of health.

Wishing you
happiness forevermore…

There is pain here...in the darkness.
There is loneliness...amidst the night
There is heartbreak...in the shadows
There is desperation...from the fog.

Nothing blooms...in the winter.
Nothing shines...in the deep.
Nothing waits...in the madness.
Nothing grows...in a wasteland

What has happened...to our spirit?
What has fallen...from our hearts?
What has blocked...the love within us?
What has ruined...our very soul?

Can you hear me...in the silence?
Can you feel me...in this place?
Can you know me...in an instant?
Can you love me...for eternity?

How can passion...hurt so dearly?
How can energy...be so pale?
How can unity...fall to pieces?
How can brokenness...become whole?

Why does life...defy explanation?
Why does death...scare us so?
Why does a man...abandon his own?
Why does a flame...cease burning forever?

Where does a broken soul...go to mend?
Where does a person...cease being human?
Where does a boy...become a true man?
Where does a hero...find no place to call home?

Everything ends...one time or another.
Everything changes...from the tides to the sky.
Everything freezes...in the cold of the winter.

Everything disappears...in the ashes of time.
Sorry for going dark for awhile. I've been dealing with some medical and family issues. But I'm back and ready to go!
Remember me when you feel all alone,
I'm always here for you, I'll never leave you on your own.
Remember me when your heart is broke in two,
I'll always be here to pick up the pieces and heal your heart for you.
Remember me when you feel depressed, stressed or angry,
I'm always going to be by your side through it all, please believe in me. Remember me when you're confused or lost,
Because I'm always here for you no matter what the cost.
Remember me when you're feeling ill in any way,
I'll always be here to nurse you back to health any day.
Remember me after I am gone,
And just for you, I'll be sure to ask God to leave Heaven's light on.
Remember me please, don't forget,
I'll always remember you, our friendship I'll never regret.
Remember me if you're in Heaven before me,
Maybe you can guide the light for me to see.
Remember me when you don't think you can ever love again,
Because I am here waiting to love you, but I can wait 'til then.
Remember me when you feel like nobody loves you,
Just so you know that I'll always be here, forever too.
