In all supposed
possibilities
in the universe
we talk
with unison magnificent;
always my best for you
in the whole wide world.

I wonder about the rain
A good deal more than any sane person should

The way it falls
the inevitably of it
down
down
down
and then
crash
And just like that
It's as if it never existed

What if we're all just raindrops
falling for what mistakably
seems like forever
and then
boom
nothing
the only thing left
being the size of our splash

Memories become
molecules we happen pick up along the way

It must be hard
when you're falling
to think of anything but the ground
who cares about where you fell from
or the places you've transversed
when the only thing in front
is solid asphalt

What I'm saying is
What if we're just raindrops
inevitably falling
and if that's a fact that will never change
what good does it do
to overthink
to stress
to doubt yourself

When in the end
we're all just a splash on the pavement

nivek
we always meet in the contours
of light
the dark is a friend
we all try to enter
and when we do
we sing, befriend
we always meet in the contours
of light

Weight of my footsteps
crunches snow
that blankets
the once grassy knoll
full of life and dotted
with those yellow flowers
I can never recall their name
but I know they were your
favorite

Now they sleep under
frozen geometric shapes
I know it's 5:50 and I'm 60 but it's too early
and
it's not Saturday
and
it's not fair
that it's nearly not always
but I'm
almost there.
everything is bathed in white
less pure than summer,
muddier, grey but piercing.
the drab and dragging cold
reaches through to touch bone
and turns everything to slush.
for once in a long while,
everyone is as muted as I.
