Living like a shadow
Being the odd one out
Remarkable yet unremembered
Floating in my daydreams
Fighting off reality
Forgetting my priorities
Getting carried away
By life's necessities
And blending into the crowd
At the oddest moments
When sticking out is beneficial

I died at my death
And that was a shame
My sun went to nova
With no one to name

I died at my death
And that was a pain
My song undersung
And nothing to gain

I died at my death
You called out my name
Weeping and broken
But no one's to blame

I died at my death
I went to the grave
What I spent of my duty
My heart couldn't save

I died at my death
They put up a stone
My flesh fall to rot
Til there's nothing but bone

Red were the roses, the ones I left on your casket,
Orange were the leaves, the ones in your tree,
Yellow were the bruises, the ones that covered you head-to-toe,
Green were the stains, the ones left on the hems of your jeans,
Blue were your lips, the day you were found in your noose,
Indigo was the night sky, that night that you died,
Violet was that bruise, the one you wore around your neck

That between lovers,
A silent understanding
Of everything that is
And will ever be.

That of unrequited love,
A broken truth never to be told,
Whispered only to ghosts
And the snow.

That between former lovers,
A silent pain of collapsing worlds.

And the last silence
When there's no reason to carry on
The one that screams and clings
To the last remnants
Of something to live for.
Women are water
gentle enough to give life
but deep enough to take it

beautiful enough to call home
but strong enough to destroy it
This is my first poem, i just joined recently so hi!
