A butterfly floats,
Among flowers of Spring.
Her crib lays empty.

The sun is shining over all I see
There's a pleasant feeling falling over me
And though my mind still finds trouble soon I'll be set free
Set a course for the clouds amongst the cosmic sea
I'll find myself in a place of wonder atop the highest of trees
Nothing but space and time will be there to keep a hold of me

I don't want the world
I don't want your gold
All that I want / is to sit beside your throne
So here I wait / on the floor
And here I'll wait / forever more
There is nothing / of which I'm sure
Except that I / want to be yours

I'm a liar
It's what writers do
We make up stories
Because if we don't
We're afraid you'll think
Less of us for
The little lives we
Lead through our misery
Without the lies
We would have to be
The worst thing you see
We hate ourselves indiscriminately

I pledge allegiance, to the brands, that fund the disjoined state of america, and to the republic, too scared to stand, one hypocrisy, under god, all invisible, with indignity and with injustice for all

Customers come
Our concern in feigned
Customers leave
Of them we complain
News is on the televisions in our burrito shop
So customers can see reports of our competitors e. Coli outbreak
Someone asks if our steak can be cooked less
The answer is no
They leave without ordering
*Come again

Pax
loneliness has defined
this old soul.
Bittersweet melody
has tuned my way of
living.

I don't know how much
my heart could stand
the weight and wait
for that simple moment,
that single spark
to feel alive
and stop breathing
the ashen smog of reality.
http://hellopoetry.com/poem/1410725/ashen-fields/
from ashen gray to ashen fields
comes, ashen smog...

do they care if I'm loved?

perhaps I'm too comfortable on my
own space and too confined to be bothered.

thank you for reading,
me...
