Valentine
i felt hands pour
out of the clouds
and touch the puffy summit of skin
under my eyes
laying fingers on the raw peaks
of my cheeks
tracing the footprints
of blotchy red tears
down to the collection point
evaporating the water
soon returned to the heavens

does the cycle ever end?
does the cycle ever end?
(i'm collected in the clouds)

only when you're dead!
only when you're dead!
(it's rainy season again)

my heart was an open book
full of blank sections
and searching for meaning
I filled it with questions

I looked for connections
or some explanation
I looked for letters
and I found punctuation

The Red Woman
i opened my window
and the wind blew in
turning over a page
telling me
that it was time
to start a new chapter

Man
Roses fall, silent;
In moonlight, like pouring rain.
On the leaves, dew hangs

I don’t want to be a princess.
I prefer to be a wall
or a shoulder
that some one can lean on
I don’t want to be spoiled
I want to
fight
Get dirt on my clothes
Clean them
search more
fail more
know more
see everything
Try everything
I want to share the road
With some one
Running not carried
I want to look behind
And see MY footprints.
I want to be free

I rise to greet the dawn

distracting my heart

I take a sip of dark roast

and exhale

today I will

just breathe

I know that you are not
"the one"
I know this is not real

It isn't really about you
It's just the way I feel

I tell myself this time is different
this time you are right

But I am chasing the same shadow
through a different night

I never get used to the pain
the pain
the same **** pain

I know you will break the cycle
I know you will break the chain

And tomorrow I will run from you
But it will be the same

The same sorrow
The same pain

Same shadow

he often reached too far
and sometimes lost his balance
but he always caught himself
like it was his greatest talent

but this time it feels different
like he's let go for too long
his recovery is slow
within, he feels withdrawn

the world will keep on spinning
even when he's gone
the important man he thought was
really wasn't all that strong

so he slides into darkness
he won't be missed at all
his broken heart is still
his oblivion has called

Your eyes
Don’t speak the same.
They lay fallen,
Unable to look my way.

Your kiss
Was once passionate and sublime.
But your lips ,
As cold as ice,
Lay lazily on mine.

Your movement,
So rushed.
Our fingers barely touch.

For you caress my cheek,
One last time.

As I cry into your hand,
You stand away from mine.
This poem is about falling out of love with someone , the harsh pain of it and the effect it has. If you can relate to this, I hear you and you will get through this!

i believe,
even the stars
get tired.

when the night sky
had folded them away
back into the darkness

and the moon,
that lonesome thing,
has doused itself in shadows.

so will you too, my friend
shy away from the light
as if it would burn
if it reached you.

maybe you feel,
you just are not strong enough
to face the day.

that the midnight hour
is a broken thing

and oh, the silence
is deafening.

and you and i know, even the stars
are tired.

you mourn for them
as their light expires.
