If you love me
   for what you see,
   only your eyes would be
   in love with me.

If you love me
   for what you've heard,
   then you would love me
   for my words.

If you love
   my heart and mind,
   then you will love me,
   for all that I'm.

But if you don't love
   my every flaw,
   then you mustn't love me-
   not at all.

-Lang Leav
What was it like to love him ? Asked Gratitude.
It was like being exhumed, I answered. And
brought to life in a flash of brilliance.

What was it like to be loved in return ? Asked Joy.
It was like being seen after a perpetual darkness, I
replied. To be heard after a lifetime of silence.

What was it like to lose him ? Asked Sorrow.
There was a long pause before I responded :

It was like hearing every goodbye ever said to
me—said all at once.

“You were you,
and I was I;
we were two
before our time.

I was yours
before I knew,
and you have always
been mine too.”

*This poem is not my own, it was written by Lang Leav. You can find it at the beginning of her book:  Love & Misadventure. I thought it was just too cute and pretty not to post

“It was a question I had worn on my lips for days – like a loose thread on my favourite sweater I couldn’t resist pulling – despite knowing it could all unravel around me.
‘Do you love me?’ I ask.
In your hesitation, I found my answer.”
-Lang Leav
Not my poetry, but I related so much that I wanted to post it.
Let me rest my head on your strong shoulders.
Let me fall asleep in your arms.
Let me get lost in your blue eyes.
Let me hug to listen to the way your heart beats.
Let me slowly kiss your tender lips.
Let me come home to you, everyday, for the rest of our lives.
