Some clichty folks
don't know the facts,
posin' and preenin'
and puttin' on acts,
stretchin' their backs.

They move into condos
up over the ranks,
pawn their souls
to the local banks.
Buying big cars
they can't afford,
ridin' around town
actin' bored.

If they want to learn how to live life right
they ought to study me on Saturday night.

My job at the plant
ain't the biggest bet,
but I pay my bills
and stay out of debt.
I get my hair done
for my own self's sake,
so I don't have to pick
and I don't have to rake.

Take the church money out
and head cross town
to my friend girl's house
where we plan our round.
We meet our men and go to a joint
where the music is blue
and to the point.

Folks write about me.
They just can't see
how I work all week
at the factory.
Then get spruced up
and laugh and dance
And turn away from worry
with sassy glance.

They accuse me of livin'
from day to day,
but who are they kiddin'?
So are they.

My life ain't heaven
but it sure ain't hell.
I'm not on top
but I call it swell
if I'm able to work
and get paid right
and have the luck to be Black
on a Saturday night.

A cruel Jack Frost blows icy floss
(in front of spring a’ burstin’)
while shiftin’ sheaves of withered leaves
          near freezin’ streams a’ thirstin’.
A pack reviled runs roamin’ wild,
          the alpha wolf wakes howlin’
then scents a lean and lonesome scene
while on the lurk a’ prowlin’.

A cloud revolts with spangled bolts,
          and starry skies start closin’
as wild geese soar beyond death’s door
          neath naked moon a’ posin’.
Electric shafts, like fractured rafts,
          sail night’s cathedral caldrons –
their cracking curse makes herds disperse
in random splayed and sprawled runs.

A she-wolf sighs with hungry eyes;
the ancient wolf waits, bayin’ -
with weary back, he’s lost the track,
          his bandied legs betrayin’.
The brood’s somewhere in shrouded lair
with mama left to mind ’em -
the wolf, a’ drag with empty swag,
is on his way to find ’em.

The pack rejoins with weary ***** -
          perhaps its days are numbered.
In evening’s night, he’s feeling tight,
          with aches and pains encumbered.
As morning nears, with shaggy ears
          (one droopin’ down, hung over)
he’ll set the course with renewed force,
for, yes, he’s still the rover.

When snow enshrines the timberlines
          and skies are ripped asunder
though young, lupine, they’ll stifle whines,
          as gullies fill with thunder;
mid echoes in the mouth o’ death,
          they bid farewell the lair
while panting puffs o’ crystal breath
          float, hanging in the air.

Their path is black (they can’t look back
for herds long gone a’ missin’)
as dusk profanes the snow-bound plains
          the sinkin’ sun was kissin’.
Neath northern lights, with barks and bites,
he keeps ’em all in motion –
the speckled scars of fallin’ stars
          display the night’s devotion.

The sky’s a’ blushin’ in the east,
          and hollow wind’s are sighin’
while buzzards freeze in gallows trees,
          a’ roostin’, rapt and eyein’.
These ghouls of prey, they’re spooked away,
          like tumbleweeds a’ blowin’,
by tilted head, white fangs tipped red,
          and warnin’ wail’s a’ growin’.

With snout upturned the moon’s discerned
as well as wafts a wendin’
and muzzled growls and shriekin’ howls
          mark wolves in quests unendin’.
With fragrant hint, the wolf’s a’ sprint,
the pack begins t’ rally –
in swift descent they’ve seized a scent,
          that’s flowin’ down the valley.

The wolf moves on behind the dawn
          and shades the pale horizon
as she-wolfs vet his silhouette
each time they lay their eyes on.
With trek discreet, a trail is beat
          across a river frozen –
when day’s complete, just mice to eat,
          a choice despised, but chosen.

A stillness jeers the shaggy ears
          (one droopin’ down, hung over),
while caribou, with much ado,
          drift, seekin’ blades o’ clover;
the wearied pack picks up their track
          (with stony stomachs pangin’)
through endless seas of barren trees
          with ice like daggers hangin’.

The wolf invades forgotten glades,
          the pack stays close behind ’im;
the caribou, in his purview,
seem far too far to mind ’im.
Above, a baleful moonbeam wails,
          “oh god he’s gonna’ catch ’em”;
the scene is grim, the Reaper dim,
the night has gone to fetch ’im.

A moanin’ mynah’s crying loud
as birds of prey are preachin’
to cravin’ ravens prayin’ proud
          and wide-eyed owls a’ screechin’.
The wolf, unrushed, is breathin’ hushed,
          his hollow eyes a’ narrowin’
and focused hard in fixed regard
on herds they'll soon be harrowin’.

The morning breeze is ill at ease,
a surge brings sudden silence –
then haggard swarms launch poundin’ storms
          and hurricanes of vi’lence;
the herd’s surprised and paralyzed
all over hell’s half acre –
the leadin’ buck’s run out of luck,
he’s soon to meet his maker.

The old wolf creeps, the old wolf leaps
          on prey he’s been a’ trackin’ –
a deer adorned with branchin’ horns
          is torn by beasts attackin’.
The morning quakes, a shadow shakes,
          tined antlers left a’ lyin’,
and spattered spots and scarlet clots
          repaint the point o’ dyin’.

A magpie flies with frightened eyes
          (on ebon wings a’ wavin’),
spies wolfin’ jaws and sated maws
          of wolves no longer cravin’.
The snowdrift clears, a cool wind veers,
          a dying breath, moreover –
a wraith appears, with shaggy ears,
          (one droopin’ down, hung over).

Dawn’s sunbeams crowd, ignite a cloud,
          its threaded strands a’ weavin’.
The pack awakes and twists and shakes,
          for soon it’s time for leavin’;
it’s bleak, it chills on shallow hills,
          as she-wolfs come a’ nuzzlin’,
but north winds scold, the wolf lies cold,
the pack stands back a’ puzzlin’.

On crimson snows neath perchin’ crows,
          the pack abides a’ guardin’;
while nights are tight with Harpy kites,
          the she-wolves wait an’ harden,
until a groanin’ blizzard stones
          the barren forest stowin’
his shaggy ears beneath the weirs,
          with icy hails ’a blowin’.

The storm abates and terminates,
          the glacial wind’s subsidin’;
the past is past or passin’ fast
          and life goes on abidin’.
The herds, today, roam far away,
          not thinkin’ of the dyin’;
the pack’ll stray from day to day,
          ’a stalkin’ hard and tryin’.

As spring sneaks forth upon the north,
          they’re lean without their leader.
A she-wolf (bound with belly round)
          strains neath a budding cedar.
Upon the morn a whelp is born
           (the future forest drover)
in new frontiers, with shaggy ears
          (one droopin’ down, hung over).

Vainity is a terible thing,
It spreads through your body like posin.
Everyone jealous or the rest don't care,
All while from her tower the Queen stares.

Mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all,
Snow White

A plot of death ended with loves true kiss,
A wave goodbye to the seven men she'll always miss.
A new life with everything she could ever want or need,
Distrust setting in just like a ****.

A kingdom now goes to war,
A new queen who sits back wondering if this will go far.
A king on his deathbed sick with lies,
A Queen who's beauty is where it all ties.

Back to square one the story starts all over again,
As Snow White commits the next evil sin.

Crazy Circus (just a wrap)

We're runnin' like chickens with our heads cut off,
Squealing like piggies round the old food trough,
Stuck on a treadmill and we can't get off,
It's a crazy circus

Lost and confused, walkin in a trance,
Common sense needs a second chance,
But time is runnin out gotta change our stance,
Such a crazy circus

Just lookin' for respect we think we know
But the real truth is you reap what you sow

Under the bigtop we're up on the stage
Spillin' and killin' lost in a rage
Why can't we just turn the page
Of this crazy circus

Strutin' our stuff actin' real cool
Posin' in the mirror ready for a duel
Now who do you think is the real fool
What a crazy circus

The old ringmaster we're the main attraction
Always lookin' for some kind of action
Spinnin' our wheels losin' our traction
In this crazy circus

Just lookin' for respect we act like we know
But the real truth is you reap what you sow

Gun smoke **** tokes tire chirps
Glimpse of slavery excerpt
Still a black still a black
Looking at the scene street hustler
Wearing baggy jeans
We don't see the president in the hood with limousines
Still a black still black
Money posin' my ambition is posin'
With properties finally gotta piece of monopoly
Huh still a black yeah still a black
Now they claim them love blacks
But when we speak onviews that attack
Our neighborhoods they don't want to hear that
Its like placing myself facing a gat from front to back
Yeah they still scared of brutal facts
They say life forblacks started on slaveships
Ha the first ship was name Jesus
Got our minds chipped
Preceded into a courtsmanship
But I broke the relationship
Its funny how everything is a ship
Notice that
Ha still a black still a black
Now we thinking we came far
Cuz we gotta money flexing holding it up next to a car
One thot two thots
Thinking they came up when they about to drop
Y'all can have the props I'll got for the stocks wait stop??
But you still a black still a black
Black history is always a mystery
When it comes to reality in actuality
They worked us to fatality
Muscles detached from the bone
So why they wonder why we gotta reason for insanity you see
Generational curses past down to the next one
Still against the school system cuz it makes us dumb
Still a black still a black
They teach us to hate ourselves ***** hair don't care I'm still a glare
In the midst of dark sun
Energizin my powers soon to devour
Negativty that's tries to showers
Over me lord have mercy on these
Hypocrites talking ****
About me yeah i dont care about money
Cuz it's ficiticious you see financially
We In the matrix why cuz they stay playing tricks
Wake up get out your sentiment
You still a black still a black
I used to be hungry for money but now I'm hungry for knowledge
Never starve my mind out
I carved out my success well I'm still looked to be less (bless)
Inside of a curse worse to worse
You don't think you gotta atone for all them stones ya white ancestors birth
You still a black still a black
Now this ain't start no race war but I know war
When I see it better believe it
Its the trinity dieties speaking to me
Creativity
At it's finest your royal highness
Its funnyhow  they don't like blacks
But every culture copies blacks
Hhhhahahaha still a Black still a black
I've got a lot on my mind so can I say my piece?
then I can just kiss my teeth
now I've made my peace
I've got a job, I'm the police;
self righteous justice
If killing time ain't good enough
then well, just **** this

I'm ******* now,
I cook a hand grenade
throw it to a crowd, explosive;
that's my sound
my life is darkness;
like in a shroud
am I too loud for your ears to handle?
Well then lets take a gamble
get the ******* my cloud
I'm shoutin' proud from here to Blackpool

Let's have a party
yeah that's cool, so where's the pedestal?
I'm like a statue frozen in motion
action shot, I'm not posin'
but I'm proposin' if we cut the ****
and get them flows in
and everyone is bouncin'
then we can turn this house in
Inside out,
it's about,
the beat,
the love,
the flow,
that steals,
the show,
if you don't know what I've been told
then I suggest you let it go

"Where is my invite? I think i missed it"
well despite the fright
you may have given yourself
I didn't send one girl, just look at yourself
In this life it's all about perfection
****** protection
affection and nation wide elections

I like to fly so high
in the sky and I do it with pride
I'm not a drugs kind of guy but
happiness is synthesized and if that's a crime
then I guess I'm crooked!
but I'm always lookin' for a way out
so if you won't let me in then I stay out
I feel I'm down and I'm definitely out,
so I guess I should pray now

Then god tells me
life is predicaments and resolutions
promoting solutions and twisting
the truth in constitutions
changing pace in relations
and pretending we never took welfare
out of the equation

I wrote this as a young teenager.
I intended it to be a rap song and it sounded pretty good at the time.
(At least I thought it did...)
I've spent some time editing it to make it something of a spoken-word poem and I'm smiling ear to ear right now. I crack myself up, is that sad?
I'm happy I stumbled across it because it reminds me how much fun I used to have when I wrote songs and poems back then. Which is one of the reasons I am so passionate about writing now. Sometimes I think I should learn from younger me and loosen up a bit.
My sense of humour is a bit dark but so is most of the United Kingdom! With that said I hope you enjoyed it and I didn't offend anyone.
So cold
let me call you December
let show you how I feel
let me emphty my self of resin
let me wash in red tonight

sinner
you mead me you're little copy
you mead me you're bedtime snack
you mead me a prisen in side my heart
and I live in it today

lover
you're eyes where allways on me
you're lips scar me
you're voeis owns me
you're child grows inside of me
you're body crushes me
you're mine,

shadow
liveing in the darkness
holding on to nothing
eating tears for breakfist
smoking posin to forget
rapeing little girls
crying now you're human
sleeping next to me tonight

little boy
no one ever thought you
nothing ever fazed you
I'm the only one that saw you
now I'm the one who make you cry

funny
may I say no more
may I bleed no more
So cold
let me call you December
let show you how I feel
let me emphty my self of resin
let me wash in red tonight

sinner
you mead me you're little copy

funny
may I say no more
may I bleed no more
Hold up world
Can you see my pistol
Flashing over your eyes
This ain't no surprise
Its an surprise
Outlaws raisin' gettin' praisin'
Shrinkin' Washington up
Like sundried raisin'
Continue blazin'
Chronic on my mind
But I ain't got time
To waste **** a paper Chase
We came for the race
Trading places eradicating deaths faces
Check it out we got killaz to my left
Thieves on my right
Posin' at any position
No switchin' just politics nerves twitchin' wishin'
They could stop the revolution
But once the guns began shootin
Who can you trust is it us
Or them them fools been grim
Just check the history
Murdered the indians to mexicans
Then the so called africans
They took land without a fair wage
And they wonder why my souls enraged
Opened my mouthnow the birds out the cage
Free my mind no longer fried
I'm a stay true to the game
And hopefully all my revolts do the same cuz times changed
Its the resurgence of the dolla
Like Marvin Gaye
Its make me wanna holla
Prices soaring debt pouring
Fools still chasing materials
While the signs they ignoring
That's what they want
For you to be lost as a slave
In a mindset instead of posing a threat
To the secret society now rethink ya strategy
Now ask thee
If we got more guns that them
Can they fade me???
All over me is poetry
Written from the top of my mind
Deep space none can place
Their hands on my rhyme
Because it's faster than
Bullet coming out a nine
Run lyrics like fines
Steadily building no yielding
Place the mic in my hand
And watch me start fillin'
Seats causing crowds with a bunch of smoke clouds
From left to right
I'm showing up on sight rhymes is tight
Ripe keep foes hype
Only to take a bite
Wrapped up in might
Anaconda sound the thunder
Make folks wonder
Is it me or the conscious
Breakin em off correctly
Respectfully they know who I be
The God MC poetry is my PHD
Poems Heavily Delivered
Who's coming with master
Wizardry spinnin' rhymes
From the tip of my tongue
Leave em hung and girls sprung
Caause I talk to fast gunblast
Brain explodin' stiff n posin'
Cuz you couldn't last now you in past
But I'm the present made for the future
Get used to tha
Brother who'll smother
Any poem with ease my steez
Make about 1 point3
Thousands a year my dear hear
Me out don't shout
I'm just feelin' home
Vibin' with a Jones in my Bones
Since I found out who I am
I really gives a **** about uncle Sam
Watch how my tech slams
Never catch me in a jam
My lyrics make ya say ****
Did he just say that yeah I did that
Don't give a ****
I lay out my cheese
So Ican expose the rats
Work with bats to gats it don't matter we tryna up our stats
Thugs with tats imagine that
Black nation rising no longer disguising
We manifest our conquest
And y'all know the rest
Friends turn to foes I suppose
That's the way human nature goes
Can't please fuckaz I'm feelin' Like Danny Glover
Got these demons in the outfield
Posin' as angels watching from angles
Thinkin' I'm blind but yo i ain't hard to find

Yeah i ain't hard to find
Just look around
N you'll see me dark brown
A skinny ***** tryna up my figures
Outlaw immortal sick flow
There Mr Yosef go
Givin war only follow commando
Principles
I be the rap oracle so
Fools try to break into my circle
But I keep my **** concealed
Hidden all my fears
Shedded all my fears
For homies who gone are ain't
Gone be here next year
See I'm a prophet in disguise
Got wise opened up my eyes
Exposed to all the lies
Its like I took a bite of the forbidden fruit
But I had to know where troubles
Came from diggin' my roots
My history ain't start with no **** slavery I know the mystery
Is who the blacks are
Lookin' afar I see A glistening star
My ancestors are my protectors
I can feel it through my spine
Dig deep Fools cuz it ain't hard to find

— The End —
