"moonbow" poems
She was painted so attractively.
With flecks of deep red like the fire that burned in her heart.
Flowing auburn and burgundy hair she dyed to feel strong.
Specks of amber that seemed to shine around her body as she yearned to feel bright and happy again.
And a hazy but deep emerald painted in haphazard fashion which contained her jealousy because all she wanted was to be perfect.
Swirls of dark cyan and teal like the tears that dripped off her face.
And the lilac dashes were her moments of serenity where her hands created magic out of paper and pen and her mind was finally put to peace.
The fuchsia smeared across her lips, making her feel a little bit prettier.
Tad bits of maroon like the blood that was shed (figuratively).
She was a colorful girl behind the bland grey veil she hid under,
All to avoid the perils she received in black and white.
*Her life had every shade of color, but they couldn’t form a rainbow!*

As we walk over the river on a root,
We see the moonbow over the waterfall,
The purple water rushing through,
Streaming under our feet.
The sturdy trees, velvet moonlight through leaves,
Looking at you, in your dark-scarlet robe,
Gazing at the stars together,
Thinking there is hope.
Lying there together, feeling love for you,
Hoping somewhere deep inside, you feel that mellow too,
Then we draw somewhat closer,
And I kiss you on the cheek.
We drink the hexed water,
And we lie there, love there, die there.

***searching through seas of drowning beings
to find the missing pieces of the world
caverns upon caverns to shade your hallow whole-ness
undulate in spiral waves of watermelon teardrops
lemon spotted ladybug in love upon the briar patch
**** the circus of powwow breakfast
curse the curse of sodom's temptress
burn the burning streets of empty sadness
freedom's song is a venomous warning
greet the knot-tyer in his bleeding arrow
catch him as he falls and fades to poppy
drown the siren of the silent burning
and burst asunder into flaming glory
harbor in your port a gentle gypsy
show her that you trust her always
move among the soulful waters
safety and sorrow are but shadows on the way
greet me in the house of midnight
under moonbow arrow and holy sinew
from my flesh a piece of bone you wrested
lover's eyes and ******* caress the dewdrop dancer
Fool, you broke the summer's heart
and must now pay the season its rotting apples
drinking spider vapor from the mists of falling cider
as cinnamon, nutmeg and clove are gathered far away***

*She floats with ease
Through the empty sky
Past the moonbow's bend
Beyond the starless night
In search of tender treasures
She hopes to find
At the moonbow's end
Of cosmic colored lights*

The moonbow reminds me
that everything comes full circle
this New Year's Eve
The moonbow reminds me
that even in the obscurity of night
there are flecks of color
The moonbow reminds me
that even in the fog and haze
there is light to be treasured
The moonbow reminds me
that all things wax and wane
as time passes so slowly, so quickly
The moonbow reminds me
to show my truest colors
in an ink-dark world
The moonbow reminds me
I must choose to see its light
this New Year's Eve

A rain of words
In the rainbow of sky
Is like a cup of tea
Enjoyed slowly
With the essence
Of tea leaves
And cardomom in milk
With the atmospheric sights
Of a cheering sun
Shining in the morning dews
Of green grasses
With a refreshing air
Is an amazing sunbow
Rainbow of words
Is like a miracle of colours
Painted in the deep sky
After the hurdles
So as the clouds
And the shining droplets
Of rain
All that makes visible
To the shining moon
In the dark sky
Gathered with twinkling stars
In the hearts
Of nature’s blessings
Is the moonbow
Which is tried to express
With the colour of sky
As the rainbow of words
Is a miracle of colours
