"incongruency" poems
There's a little incongruency,
between us & this planet.
It doesn't take a brain to see,
the effects of our greedy habit.
No worries, no qualms.
We'll just pillage & meddle
One day the price to be paid,
will be one
our children can't settle.

I used to think the 60's was a bad decade
for humanity.
Then I learned about the 70's.
The 80's, I'm not sure bc I was five
when it started.
In the 90's I was mostly optimistic and young.
The start of the 00's started off rough, got better and we'll see what happens next.
There is good and and bad in everything.
But in my older years it's more difficult to see the best in all this incongruency.
I can only hope it all evens out on the end.
If bad beats good all these good deeds will be for nothing.
I'll never know the finality.

october, my love, your comfort and
courage--your absolute devastation--
my soul lives forever in you--
all the years, the tears, the natural
ebb and flow of hope and heartache--
the bittersweet autumnal hymn of death
of warmth in the sun and cold everywhere else--
infinite dreams, romantic projections of the
necessities of a human heart--
incongruency of aesthetics so beautiful
they have to be true-- dancing through
recalcitrant golden sunbeams
of somewhere, somehow--
