"enamoration" poems
Innocent words of wonder Burn the purest of souls to ash The Goddess of love, She spews her lyrics in tinkling sighs Completed by the one whose light burns brightest He lights the path of others Consuming their shadows as they pass A dragon of fire to fight the darkness And she sings in sweet daffodils Satin petals and the Heavens open wide She sings of pain and the dragon feeds She sings of joy and he watches As the words are once again absorbed into her essence The Goddess welcomes this guardian of light Never knowing that her words Pilot the fire that eats the shadows that surround him Bitter pangs of abrasive truth Wrapped in delightful ditties of eternal enamoration He fights her darkness She fuels his fire

Guardian of the Goddess
the holes run together to make nothing that consumes everything torn to bits with nothing left to rebuild pulling threads from passersby gluing them in spit and sparkles forming the fabric of a frayed future hidden behind that toothy grin that blinds the best of 'em a bit of accidental charm and sparkles turn gems catching the moon you just hung besotted sot truth like poison thick on spirited tongue can't believe what the bottles tout can't trust liquid truth in ashen breath dragons of legend breathe Fireball lies that smell of candy and taste like the death of tomorrow's enamoration

Fireball Blind
Once, I had it bad for a girl She let me play ******** music in her living room, and she had long brown hair. she had a big *** dog. it was a good dog, nice to be around. she was too. I'm pretty sure That they both bit our bluesman friend at one time or another, but that's beside the point. Once, we stared at each other for a long time. Nothing really happened Except that I fell into the chasm of her eyes, And have spent every day since Working my way up the cliffs Outlined in shades of blue and green in her retinas, a Bedouin for my affectation and enamoration with the woman that I used to know. For a moment, I was even tempted to move into a cave in her mind, But the spirits called me forward Into the desert of my own mind. It's been a few years. She's in the embrace of methamphetamines now.
