Unrequited Love
I wonder how long it will take him, to realise that being with me, is a mistake.
He will figure it out sooner or later

The amateur poet
1 Hour.
The first of many.
An hour alone with him.

Talking with me
Smiling and laughing
All of his quirks
Without anyone else stealing his gaze

I get to bask in all of him
And show him
What being with me is like

1 Hour
To show him how to fall in love

He loves me
He likes me
I love him
He loves me not
He wants me as his wife
He's sweet
He is  meant to be in my life
Planning with him is a feat
He doesn't say never
I want to be with him forever
I have to be with him
I don't mind being with him
I need to be with him
She loves him,
or does she?
She loves being with him,
and her,
He loves her,
so does she,
She becomes confused,
Loving and hating love all at once,
She has to choose,
Him,
Or,
Her.
She's in love,
In love with the thought
The thought of him
Him, being her first.

authentic
It's like playing with fire
It's like deep-sea diving
It's like playing in a hailstorm
It’s like sticking your hand out the window
Going 80 miles an hour down the highway
It's like climbing on the roof
It's like looking at the sun
It's like being blindfolded
It is such a rush
No matter how careful you are
You're in the dangerous situation
So it would only take away from the fun
It is never taking for cover,
Never backing out,
No limits, no escape plans
It is standing in the middle of it all
Realizing the risk
But never moving out of the way
That is what being with him
Is like
Sitting with him was easy
Being with him was easy
But he doubted her
“How is it you can love everything?
I do not believe you
I do not believe you love me,”
And she smiles
She sighs
He slumps
And she takes his hands
“Do you really love me?”

“Loving can be like breathing
For me it comes naturally,”
She holds his hands to her lips
Breathes
“Do I really breathe?”

He looks at her
Starts to hide his wonder behind sarcasm
But she breathes again
Warming his fingertips
“You do,”

“Then I really love you,”
She holds his hands to her chest
Lets him feel the quiet rise and fall
The quick beating of her heart
“Do I really live?”

He asks the same
Yet he
Is uncertain
He leaves the power of truth with her
With the divine beside him
And she asks
“Do we really live?”

“Is breathing easy around me?”
He is scared
He has forgotten how to trust in love
How to breathe freely
“Is it easy to love me?”

She holds his hands
Her grasp so warm
Sunlight in dark skin
She kisses him
“All I can do around you
Is love you
And breath easy,”
