Falling in and out of love will leave you empty and alone. The touch of a new lover will be your only goal. The things that could once make you smile, will send shivers down your spine. The memories of a long lost love imprinted in your mind. You cant connect the same way those feelings forever left behind. Its hard to repair the damage a broken heart can create.

I like the way your nose flairs when you laugh
And the way your lip quivers
I like how you stand
And how your words flow like the rivers
Your smile gives me butterflies
In your eyes I become lost
I want to be yours
I’ll keep my fingers crossed

It's the season,
Which provides reason,
For hot cocoa by an open flame.
Entangled in your arms,
Lost in the world of make-believe.

My words are lost.
I speak
But now I stutter.
I think
But nothing comes out.
My words are gone.
I can't remember what
I used to write.
My words have run.
I am smart
Was smart
But now
Words
Are
Lost.

I see you everyday,
And my thoughts stay the same,
‘This is the boy I have been writing about,
This is the boy i have dreamt about’
We don’t talk,
We don’t need to.
The way you look at me,
And I at you
It says it all
But darling,
Why must you look away when I stare at you in awe?
I’m hypnotized by the way you demand presence when you enter a room,
Yet when you open your mouth to speak,
No one hears but those close to you.
I love the way your hair falls into place when you release it from the hair tie keeping it held back.
I think I’m in love with you, but I will never tell you.

you never kissed me
even though i'd kissed your lips a thousand times and more
but only in my dreams
sweet lips of yours
pressed to mine
swollen from the passion between us
the lust that filled our hearts
spread like a poison
like a forbidden fruit
filling the inside of my body with warmth
the fire
burning out every possible doubt
erasing every memory i had
until i was blank
like a canvas
ready for the painter's first brushstroke
