Fall in love with me.
I can't promise that I'll catch you
But the days we spend together
Will make it worth the fight

Fall in love with me.
Be the first to discover me
Get me to open up
Know all my fears
And the songs stuck in my head

Fall in love with me.
Tell me I look beautiful
Even when I look like a mess
And make me feel
Like no one ever has before

Fall in love with me.
And please
Make me fall in love
With you
Don't let me go

the word "love"
is such a relative term

you can love someone
while crying in
the bathtub
screaming sad lyrics
and cutting your
thighs with
a razor blade

you can love someone
while sitting in
the passenger seat of
their car
listening to them speak of
their favorite songs
and the movie they watched
last night

you can love someone
nearly as much as
you can miss someone
like at 7 a.m.
when your coffee is brewing
and your heart suddenly
drops
and memories replay in
your mind

don't define
love
as an emotion
because it is
so much more

it's on nights like this
when it all
comes crashing down

the moon isn't as bright
and the stars shine
a little less

and no matter how hard
you try;
you are always cold

sad lyrics
full of the lost and
wishful
stream though your headphones
and into your heart

nothing is right
on nights
like this

it's forever and i'm in love

i call you at 2 in the morning
i am crying
"it won't happen again"

it's forever and i'm in love

you text me at 11:57 pm
"we need to talk"
my heart stops
and my throat tightens

it's forever and i'm in love*

my mind wanders to
the pills left in my top drawer
my heart is heavy
and my lungs want to sleep
you come across my mind
and i stay

it's forever and i'm in love

i call you at 2 in the morning
i am crying
"i'm sorry."

*it's not forever and i'm in love

every year
when the leaves have fallen
and the sun has disappeared
you find your way back to me

snow falls from the clouds
and into my mind
freezing all consciousness
and forgetting common sense

it seeps into my heart
and fills the cracks you made
each crevice
filled with naive hope
despite the cold bitterness
that is upon it

it fills each lung
the left
and the right
until I can no longer breathe
without you by my side

and each year
when the leaves have fallen
and the sun has disappeared
you find your way back to me
winter in your veins;
and I follow blindly
thinking this time,
things have changed.
