As hard as I try
to ignore that crumbling keystone,
I'm still painfully aware
that the arch will soon come crashing down.

I wonder if when that happens
I'll have the audacity,
and the brazen cowardice,
to act surprised.

To feign knowledge.
To play a selfish fool.

A Poet
The saddest thing in this world,
is constantly being used by him,
and continuing to play the game, you are going to l̶o̶s̶e̶.

Salmabanu Hatim
his acts of true love,
crying and laughing with me
thawed my frozen heart
29/10/2021
Too shy to bloom
The pink and purple hues
Destined to shine through
But unsure what to do
With just a little heartening
The slightest little push
A hint of motivation
A whisper and a hush
Can spring the inner offerings
The fruit the stem now holds
Or does the flower shiver
Pretending to be cold
The entire process is tedious
None of it mundane
When all it needs is sunshine
Nourishment and rain

Death is brought about by the very thing that the mind intensely craves for.
I sit and type
My fingers floating above keys
before words and sentences are created
A story is born
An empty page becomes full of text
and yet I still feel the same

Alone

I write to escape reality.
But I end up creating different prisons for myself
Each one has the one thing I want

And I fear
that I am never going to get it
Everyone deserves unending love

But

Me
And I cry like all'
Laugh the loudest alone:
Smile with the crowd'
Talk big-
With my words so small.
Different when' no one is around.

What’s the rush, Joash?
Why’d you arrive so early?
Not that we’re complaining,
you know we love you dearly.

Why the rush, Joash?
Why’re you so eager
to join the clan Hamilton,
for us to get to see yer?

Why the rush Joash?
There’s truly plenty of time
for you and Reuben, Mum & Dad
to find your rhythm and rhyme.

Why the rush, Joash?
Just rest and feel the beat
of four lives loving in unison,
a quartet truly complete.
Welcome Joash Hamilton
