Days that passed left me
speechless.
Wonders of how l could
make through the
lonely nights with the
lost feelings that l had.
Uncertain about the dangers
l would encounter during
this aimless journey.

On this cold, silent winter’s night,
I looked and saw a lonely star,
Shining fiercely with all its might,
It seemed to call to me from far.

It seemed to read my inmost thoughts,
I wished that it would help me find,
All the answers to the problems,
So vexing in my troubled mind.

Then reality beckoned me,
And the star that was shining bright,
For all its celestial beauty,
Could not care was I wrong or right.

tears
are the ink
for the pen
a poet uses
to write
- L.M.
I lit my tongue
on fire and watched as it
burnt down like a wick sinking into the wax of its candle
flame danced in the reflection of my eyes
tears like fire hydrants
the flames licked my tongue and my tongue licked the flames
crisping up my insides i swallow my tongue
esophagus incineration
my voice unspoken
gummy whispers
tasteless lies
and it wasn't enjoyable but it was freeing to know that my voice would crackle like the flames that had consumed me

I woke up in a dark place
could see no light each path
I took
Like l was on my own again
or maybe the world had ended
And it was only me left
My adrenaline levels Started rising,l thought living my solitary life
maybe l would make it though
I was wrong
The further l got lost in the darkness, the more frightened l got.
I guess l was caught up in a dome
That had been kept far from the
shine of the moon or the sun
maybe a test for my bravery
I took out a lighter to
put the light on.
some how l felt less alone.
The darkness no longer scarced me ,as l kept looking at the lighter
A round of applouse from an audience
I couldn't see
It was just an audition
In the dark
Some how l got the role.
