Count red cars
or the billion stars

maybe count each
silver charm on
a silver chain

Watch the night fall
quietly onto town

sleep a dreamy sleep
dream a sleepy dream

Chase the wind to
wherever
chase it in your
own worn shoes

Run away from
the waves you've
known since
childhood

that's
all you've ever
known

Blow away the
fluff from the
silent dandelions
blooming on
the roadside to
your home

Wait for the
rain to drop
on roofs,
hear it
patter against
your window

Pass the time
see the rusty
trains speeding
into rusty blurs

into nowhere

Do nothing on
the benches in
the station

Catch someone's
hat blown away
by the wind
maybe keep it
as your own

who knows,
it could all
be yours.

To you,
Girl by The Sea
Love is as old as the sun
When we were young,
it was all about holding hands, wanting to be close to each other but truth is, we were blind to see that love was bringing us together.
Suddenly we became taller, you started getting hips and my voice got deeper.
We started writing love letters to those we smittened.
Along the way, we hurt one another and it helped us grow.
Here we are now, dating and traveling like two love birds.
What kept us going is patience, trust and when we suddenly understand what love figures are, we let wedding bells ring that beautiful moment
When I finally become yours and you now all mine
Tonight, my tires traced the highway
I pulled over after missing my exit
Sidelined, I sat there
As the breeze through my window
Raised the hairs along my skin
And at once, it hit me
In that moment
Fear overcame bravery
Maybe you broke me
And there's no self-help book
To relearn how to let someone love me
