Be Cool Mum
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
Be cool mum,
Don't stress,
Don't rush,
Here, make your self a cup of tea,
Have some biscuits and muffins too,
You love them.
Don't worry,
What's the hurry,
The ***** dishes can wait,
Laundry and also vacuuming,
Nicely, gently slow down.
Come mum sit with me for a while,
Hold my hand,
Play with me,
Let's go for a walk,
Watch me jump in the puddles with glee.
Ask me about my day,
Let's spend some cherish moments together,
Before you know my childhood will be gone.
So mum slow down,
Have a bit of fun too,
Work will never end.

Years Have Passed
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
When I pay a visit to my hometown,
Everything has changed,
Even the cemetery.
It is cleaner,
The graves are well placed,
It has a flower garden and rows of trees,
Even benches  to rest.
Except that,
I now know more people at the graveyard,
Than in my hometown.

First Kiss
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
When he put his lips on mine
and kissed me,
Gently at first, then fervently,
I felt the world was really aligned,
And as his kisses deepened,
I felt I understood the mysteries of the universe,
And anything called miracles can happen.
I had fallen in LOVE.

Magic
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
She was magic,
When she spoke the stars sighed.
When she walked the moon waltzed.
And her smile unlocked hearts.
And she loved me,

Many fair ladies never looked my way,
And she had chosen me,
I wondered why?
Life is full of surprises and magical.

Charity
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
Charity is the act of giving without expecting anything in return,
It is solely to please God,
"What your right hand gives your left hand should not know,
My Guru says to always thank the person who has taken charity
from you,
For that person has helped you to please God.

Die
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
Die
Sometimes I sin,
I skip my prayers,
Occasionally I cheat,
I don't want to be perfect.
I am afraid to die,
If I am do good, holier than holy and never sin my slate with God would be clean,
HE will call me back,
And I don't want to go yet,
I want to stay and see the beautiful world and its people,
I want to LIVE LIFE.

Together
Salmabanu Hatim Feb 2020
You and me,
Our love deep as the sea,
Together,
Forever.
Hold my hand my gentle dove,
As we traverse life's journey with love,
Living, laughing and loving,
Every moment just devouring.
Enjoying the taste of ripe mangoes,
The tender maize and cassava as we go,
Feel the taste of salty air,
Us, a fine pair.
And as our steps slow and dither,
Our eyesight get dimmer,
Your hand always in mine,
We'll be fine,
Together,
Me and you forever.

Never ask or expect anything from anyone,
Never tell a lie,

My Thoughts
Salmabanu Hatim Jan 2020
No hard feelings,
But God has already empowered women when he created her,
When God created men he was bored,
There was no fun,
Like no salt and spice in food.
Then, HE created women,
HE empowered  her,
He gave her ****** men cannot live without,
A womb to produce future generations,
Tears to make men putty in her hands,
An intuition more powerful than men.
And above all beauty that men fall prey to.
She has the last say in any conversation,
She rules the rooster.
If you leave the house and children with men there is chaos,
As what has happened to our world,
Men only think big and act big,
That is why women want empowerment to set the world right,
Just like their homes,
They are the drivers behind the wheel.

I may always be in someone's  PRAYERS,

So I have no right to end my life.
