I am one strip of skin stitched together holding active organs in line,
I am 206 bones.
I am one brain.
I am one overly active heart.
I am one lung and 2 ovaries.
I am the same as you.
but how dare you compare me to you.
I am independent thoughts,
I am autonomous actions
I am a story.
I am history and future.

Why am I so angry
Like this world has done me so wrong
Who am I to blame for this madness,
This blood that is spilling all over my insides
This dagger I found  carving out my soul
Who am I even mad at
It's like I'm mad at everyone but no one
Like I have failed myself and my heart is confused

I am lost within my own thoughts that haunt me in my sleep
Why am I so angry
I keep seeing these images in my head
Images of me standing in front of a fire watching souls burn
As I burn myself yet unaffected by the flames
Like I am the flames
Like I am the son of death

In the dark
of the night,
The stars from the sky,
are the light of the dark.
