I still don't
understand it

how you have created
such beautiful chaos
in my heart

you have turned
my world
upside down

you have made
stars into
song
the sun shines
it's poetry
upon my face;
even the moon
can't explain its
gravity

how can I
possibly make
any sense
of anything
when i feel
love like
that
Is there anything as special
As a sister's love?
They are right there with you
When push comes to shove!

They fight for you
Have light for you
To show you that they care
They grow with you
And sow with you
The mem'rys you both share

Sometimes they may not agree
Sometimes even fight
But that's because they want the best
And they know what's right!

It's my sister's birthday
And I want her to see
She is near and she is dear
In my memory

So here is a story
I remember from her past
It tells of her character

She's a fighter to the last!

~~<♡>~~

When my sister was still going to the University of Arizona here in Tucson, she had a motorcycle. Which had a proclivity for breaking down. Well, it was getting on toward summer. And the bike broke down many miles from where her mechanic was located. She had no money to get it towed. So my hundred and twenty pound sister pushed that heavy motorcycle all the way to the dealership! The mechanic was agog!
He couldn't believe she had lugged that motorcycle all that way! He told her, "Honey, you have some *****!"

This is the way my sister is. Beautiful, brilliant, and brave!

I am very proud of her, and I'm honored to be her sister!

For my sister, Chris, on her birthday...

♡♡♡ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ♡♡♡
Why! Why!
Why was I born in America?

Another lonely day
Tears they pour
Down my face

I do believe in
Some kind of grace

I dream of foreign lands
A community of friends
That's a plan

To spend time
With people
Underneath the sun

I'm alone in America
That is not much fun

My therapist pretended
She went away

Some say these are
The end of days

I walk I wander
.
So fresh his face,
Nutmeg and ginger
Like mine.  I made
Apologies for being,
Being late.

He was more than
Kind, so mannered
Like minded, unwild,
Not unpredictable,
Like my ex.

In the cafe, earthy
Smells wafted at me,
Hints of loss, of sad
Things unsaid, wet
Piney black hair.

Black hair and blue
Unfathomable eyes,
Eyes of a lad I miss,
A wildness uncaged,
Once caging me.
The moment I think back on
the most
isn't when
                   we learned to samba
                we saw each other naked
our lips met for the first time
or even when we said I love you.
Its our last night together,
the night we
            played cards with your family
       slept in your twin bed
    couldn't work the DVD player
and took our first bedroom picture.
It was the night when
I woke up and cried quietly
until you felt my tears on your skin
You wrapped me up and rocked me back to sleep
You whispered I'm here over and over again.
Don't you remember, love?
*It was the night before you left (me).
