Here we are standing still
At the tail of a rumbling storm
Beyond a sea of wrecked homes.

But even if the thunder rolls
Above the graves of a thousand souls
Our faith will light a beacon of hope.

We will not feel our body ache
From the shattered glasses
By the surge of raging waters.

Our feet will wander restlessly
Until our hungry hearts will find a home
To slumber in the restless nights.

Our heads will still look up to see
The present covered by clouds of grey
Open to a future of the bluest skies.

Our voice shall reach the heavens
Until the endless drops of rain
Wash away the tears in our eyes.

We will wake up to the warmth
Of all the love we've lost
That we will keep in our mending hearts.

We will step towards a brighter day
And soon all of these shall pass
Like a glow of rainbow after the  rain.

This child I once knew
Knew nothing but himself
Venturing out on his own
Was the way he lived

He watched and observed
Did things on his own
He made his days
And he made his nights

This child I once knew
A curious mind he had
Questioning everything under the sun
Or over the stars
Nothing else existed
But the things he'd rather do

You see,
this child was young
Yet was drenched in reality
He saw what others didn't see
Felt what others didn't feel
He saw beyond
What others couldn't see

This child ventured on his own
None tried to stop him
As a curious child he was
He explored the very depths
of reality

Without knowing the cost
Of what he was about to do
He lost the child in him
Way too soon
Never to look back again
Because he knew he had to pursue
The truth
The things that happen to us are never without reason...
Look back with no regret, but see the good of the past to make a better future.

We drown in petty sorrows.
Wish for floods-
For rain
To wash away all our iniquities.

Wash our robes white,
Our hands clean
Of any thistles or weeds that
Cling to our fingertips.

We cry:
Salt-stained
Tears
Begging for some kind of
Materialistic reprieve
For all the
Very hard work
We've done.

God called us to build arks.
I too am guilty of wishing for rain. And I'm sorry.
I don't get why your ****** eyes can't see
I don't get why your short frame can't grasp
I don't get why your semi-average mind can't understand
I don't get why it can't seep in your dark skin and chubby belly that

I  l o v e  y o u

because you care for your friends with utmost loyalty, sincerity
because your eyes shine with fire for the things and the ones you love
because you never run out of wild stories and theories
because your laugh is more than enough to make me laugh along
because your crazy ways take me in an adventure, not chaos definitely
because you would rather be odd in this apathetic world for the sake of chivalry
because you give me more innumerable insane reasons
but actually, simply
because you

You may see yourself as someone unlovable, detestable
but please get rid of that nonsense
because I am here
and very soon,
distance and time would get in the way but
I will always be here and

Sapat nang bendisyon
Ang luha sa'yong  mga
Mata upang maging

Karapat-dapat ang mga
Tuyong talulot ng rosas
Na matagal **** ikinubli

Sa aklat niya ng mga tula.
Marahil, lumipas na nga
Ang inyong panahon.

Ngunit ang bawat kataga
Na minsan niyang inialay
Sa'yo ay hiwagang lalang

Ng puso, may ritmo ng
Pagsuyo, may samyo ng
Bagong pangako. Ipako

Man ng oras ang ala-ala't
Alat ng luha na dumadaloy
Sa'yong magkabilang pisngi,

Ang mga talulot na ito'y
Patuloy na magbibihis ng
Bagong pag-asa, lalaya mula sa

Siniphayong ligaya, mananahan
Sa bawat pahina.

And right before your eyes I'm dying
and breaking,
falling to pieces.
You try to pick them up but they turn to dust in your hands.
You find yourself gripping your hair and turning to tears
not quite sure you're fully letting this sink in.
You've been in this hospital chair for so many years
but you never thought that one day it'll actually come to an end.
This is the last time you find yourself here
This is the last time you'll hear me say your name.

I'm you're little brother, not a soldier.
I wasn't built for a life on the line.
I did what you told me and I'm drained out.
You regret it
I know, you told me so many times over.
But that doesn't fix it,
It won't make me better this time.

I'm lying here, breathless.
And I want you to know
That I'm okay with letting go.
I'll finally get to rest
After all these years.

Tell me what you have to say
and I'll carry it to my grave
to think of all the time.
You'll still be my brother
even when I'll be on the other side,
and you're left here to create fresh tracks
on your own without someone as your guide.
