Lend Me...
ryn Jul 2015
Lend me your eyes.
So I could fill them
with the bursting stars.
Telling tales of the spellbinding universe,
singing songs of exploding suns...
and of splintering quasars.

Lend me your thoughts.
So that if I may,
write of them.
Fantastical scribbles of love
and praise.
Meticulously lined
and carefully stitched...
with immaculate lace at the hems.

Lend me your breaths.
I'd catch them as they fall...
between the words you would say.
Merging mine with yours...
introducing colour...
and vigour
to my monochromatic world of
black, white and grey.

Lend me your heartbeats...
for mine thumps erratic.
As if beating in silent mock.
I depend on the steadiness in yours.
So they could usurp
the ticks of worldly clocks.

Lend me your hands.
Palms up as a sign,
perhaps as an invitation...
for me to take them.
And maybe...
hopefully fill them...
with mine...

I feel the grasp of the world.
It’s feeling strong and cold.
And I see the fate of all.
Being drained from the young and the old.
I keep praying for the end.
But I know none will ever come.
I know I will be alone.
Before it’s all said and done.
So, lend me a hand.
And save me from this distant place.
Lend me a hand.
Help me in saving face.
Please rescue me my friend, and when the world is at its end,
Lend me a…

I witness the war for it all.
It is rapidly spinning out of control.
I see the helpless martyrs,
Just sacrificing their souls.
All the little families and all the little people.
Not knowing what to do.
Because when it comes to fighters,
There are none left who are true.

So, lend me a hand.
And save me from this distant place.
Lend me a hand.
Help me in saving…
Face to face with losing control.
No one knows anymore.
How to fight or how to win.
We’ll never see the sun again.
All we need is a helping hand.
When will this,
Ever,
End?

So, just lend me a hand.
And save me from this ******* distant place.
Please, my friend, lend me a hand.
Help me in saving my own face.
Please rescue me my friend, and when the world is at its end,
Lend me a helping,
A steady,
A calming,
A ruling,
Lend me a hand.

I feel the grasp of the world.
It’s just so strong and cold.
It's just so strong and co-oh-old.

We're forced, each man, to walk a trialed path—
resisted trek, uphill through blinding daze
that shrouds with crucible's perplexing haze
till fog-white skies yield quick to black clouds' wrath.
Affliction brims a thorny pack to bear
whilst dewy darkness drenches in the night,
but where is calming lamp to lend us sight?
And who will come to give us saving care?
Here through veil is heard a whisper certain,
then o'er the mountain creeps the dawning day
and with clear eyes we see the brume give way
as God retracts His theatre's curtain,
unsheathing velvet waves whose morning sheen
beyond grey mist splays vast and wondrous green.

"I will exalt You, LORD,
    for You lifted me out of the depths
    and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
LORD my God, I called to You for help,
    and You healed me.
You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead;
    You spared me from going down to the pit.
Sing the praises of the LORD, you His faithful people;
    praise His holy name.
For His anger lasts only a moment,
    but His favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
    but rejoicing comes in the morning.
When I felt secure, I said,
    'I will never be shaken.'
LORD, when You favored me,
    You made my royal mountain stand firm;
but when You hid Your face,
    I was dismayed.
To You, LORD, I called;
    to the Lord I cried for mercy:
'What is gained if I am silenced,
    if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise You?
    Will it proclaim Your faithfulness?
Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me;
    LORD, be my help.'
You turned my wailing into dancing;
    You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent.
    LORD my God, I will praise You forever."
