The burning flame
That lays in my heart
Starts my day with a kick start
It gets me from start to end
That burning flame is the love that grows from within.

The Great Depression
Days where countries felt like secession
The deadly dust bowl swept crops away
The stock market crashed
Everyone had to pay

The Great Depression
A lot of people died
From the dust that flew by
As the tumbleweeds flied

The Great Depression
The money went away
Food was rationed
But not every day

Most of the food
Was sent away
For the soldiers
That risk their lives everyday

As you walk that long road
A road that is called life
It can be filled with greatness
It can be filled with strife

Down the Road
There can be challenges
There can be obstacles
There can be downfalls
But all of them leads
Down that one road

That one road is Everything that contains you
That one road is
what you love
what you hate
what you cherish
what  you create

Down the road
You will find yourself

I am me
no one else

I might not like the same things as you
But i am me
I might not dream like you
But i am me

You can judge me all you want
But you don't realize the mocking words you speak
They hurt
They cut me like razor sharp blades
For i am me
i am me
i am me

Each time you stare at me it's like your eyes are stabbing a dagger in my heart it brings shame
Each time you laugh at me all i can feel
is pain.

You don't realize it but i hold back my tears.
Running away and hiding from my fears.
This growing pain only comes from you my peers.

Each and every year i try to get stronger.
asking myself can i last any longer?

you don't realize the pain you cost me
The words you say bring terrible thoughts to my mind
those evil words haunting my mind clogging my knowledge
When you say these things do you even realize you make me question my own existence?
But then i also realize that the truth is I am me.

No one can change who i am
For i am me
I must learn to realize your words do not matter
That pain is only a figure of my wild wonderful imagination

But you must also realize
I am me
No one else
this poem i wrote was  me basically expressing my emotions of the people at my school at Liberty Eylau High  and how i have felt over the years but know i grow stronger because i have friends that make me smile everyday

My days are counting down
I am almost done can't mess up now
These years have flew by From Freshman To Senior
But I ask myself have I been a great leader

Have I made a difference over these years
Have I helped those I love heal all of their tears
I ask myself as these last days fall
Did I really stand proud and tall

Did I do what was right
Corrected all my wrongs
I am about to be rewarded for these twelve years
that lasted so so long

As these last days are falling
I can finally say
I can be free at last from
Ole L and E
This is about the last days of high school as i am about to graduate on May 26 I now how 8 days left

My eyes
They see so much
My eyes are graced with spontaneous vision

They see wonders beyond my wildest dreams
They see the beauty of waterfalls
They see lakes with their slowly moving streams

They see the light blue sky
And the snow white clouds
My eyes are something that makes me
Very very proud

They see the dark night
They see the stars that shine so bright

But most importantly what I see
Is the hidden love and creativity
Hidden in me

My friends
They always have my back
My friends are loyal
Together we are like a family to each other
Noble and royal

They are my long term friends
Noble and true
We stick with together
Stay together
No matter what we go through

They give me a hand when I am down
They lift my spirits when I am broken
they are my true friends forever
And no matter what ever happens
I will be by their side
As they would be by mine

My school
It has hallways filled with screaming students
Lockers that has been unused for years
Teachers that act as Dictators in the classroom.

In my school sometimes you can even hear
a teacher yelling at his students
he's yelling at you very on peers.

Even in my math class
My teacher Mr.Broyles
Acts as an terrible Dictator
Sit down
Shut your mouth
Turn around
He barks at my class
then all i can think in my mind
is wow he's such an ***

Oh and during the pledge of the Texas Flag
Don't you you dare talk
or to the principals office Mr.Broyles will send you for a walk

In my U.S History class
here comes Mr.Pace
He's an jolly man
and he always has a smile on his face

But you better do your work in his class
Or like Mr.Broyles he might act like an ***
Don't have your phone out
or he'll scream and shout
Then he'll take your phone up
Then you'll argue and pout

Now My Favorite teacher
is Mr.Fellers
He works on cars
I've been in his class for years
look how i've come so far.

In his class i have learned to change oil
Learned to change a tire
and check the pressure
He tells me one day i could be a mechanic for hire

This is my school
Those are some of my classes
and i Thank God almighty
that not all of my teachers are *****

I am in a solid state
Neutral no moving parts
The only thing I feel
Is the beating of my heart

Thump! Thump!
I feel against my chest
Leaving me to think about the rest
My nervousness has frozen me
Allowing me to be no longer free

This paralysis inside of me
Will it be for eternity
I can not even move my eyes
How will I know when the sun arise

This solid state that i'm in
Has me thinking i'm growing thin
But how could I know
I'm only numb
I could not feel a ***** at my thumb

All I know is this is my fate
To forever live in a solid state
If I could only have one more feeling
That would be great

Two stars crossed in a dark dreary sky
one star black
one star white
one is as dark as night
one is like the sun it shines so bright
but together they are like a half moon
aiming to be full that shall come soon
but they will always be equal
for they are actually one
and when they cross
they will be brighter than the sun
this is one of the first poems i ever wrote and it started me on a path to become a poet

That one road
So far yet so close.

As I travel down this long road
Thoughts come traveling through my mind
Good Thoughts Bad Thoughts
Are clogging my mind.

I cannot think straight
But yet I continue to walk this one road
Not even knowing where I am going.

But as I walk down this road I can hear sounds of the wind
I can hear the waterfalls from down the stream
I can hear the true sound of nature itself.

And as I can hear these sound coming from all around me
I realize that nature has a voice
A calm and beautiful voice
A voice of soothing and relaxing tone I feel as if I’m floating.

But then I hear another voice and this one is not soothing
It is not relaxing
I then open my eyes to see a pair of hunters shooting at the animals
Cursing terrible words when they miss a shot.

They then spot me standing there in the middle of this long road
They stare at me with smiles on their face
But in my mind they should not be smiling nor should they be happy
They have disturbed the peace of nature
They have severed the beautiful sounds of the wind and waterfalls.

As I just watch in horror as the hunters start back shooting
I fall to my knees and ball out in a trail of tears
For they have ruined this magnificent moment in my life
That one moment when I was truly one with nature.

But as I wipe my eyes I feel a sense of regret
I then whispered to myself
That I shouldn’t have traveled this one road
That I shouldn’t have been one with nature
That I just should have just went the other way.

That is my thought of that one road
And all that I have left to say.

The dragons lair
So deep and dark
So be careful not to stare
Or you may be dragged
Into the dragons lair.

When he drags you down
He wonders what to do
Should he cook you up?
Or cut you in two.

Should he cut you into pieces?
And stir you in a ***
He starts to grin
But you beg him to not.

Should he tie you to a wheel?
And spin you around
Should he grab you with his claws?
And smash you to the ground.

Should he burn you to crisp?
And blow you away
Or should he let you go?
And be on your way.

You finally open your mouth
And looked into the dragons lava red eyes
Then you say let me go and I have a surprise.

You smiled at the dragon
Then he smiled back
As soon as he put you down
You were on the attack.
You grabbed your sword
And swung and swished
But every last hit
You terribly missed.

The dreadful deadly dragon frowned
for you have betrayed him.
Then you thought in your mind
Your chances for survival were very very slim.

You then threw down your sword
then ran like an coward
But the entrance was blocked by the dragons dark wing
for it is your final hour
your death is all the dragon  desired

The fallen star
So lonely yet so bright
Oh where are you fallen star

I look through the sky with my telescope
But I cannot find you
Where are you fallen star

I run through the dark night
Looking wondering why
Why can’t I find this star that shines so bright?

But then I run to a pond
And I look down to see my reflection
And I see that I am smiling
Because at that moment I realized that
Shining fallen star was me.

Is the way I think weird
Should I hide it from the world
Or should I be open and
Let it unfurl

Should I say what I think
And think about what I say
Because everything that comes out my mouth
There is a price to pay

These prices are called consequences
They can be good or bad
They can make me or break me
Change my mood from happy to sad

These things I say
The choices I make
Every single road I take
There is a consequence to pay

The way I think is unique
For my mind is beautiful
Like roses fresh
From a flower boutique
I know I haven't wrote a poem in a while I've just been very busy with high school and all I am going to try and write more poems if I can I am going to prove that I am serious about my poetry and I hope everyone likes this one that I wrote and the way I think and how there is consequences for everything you say and do

I now trust no one
for you have betrayed me

You have broken my heart into two lonely pieces
broken my trust
broken those lovely feelings I once had for you

You've nearly made me cry
you made me angry
you made me hunger for the evil feeling of jealousy

But I wont stoop to your level
I wont feed my hunger for revenge
but know I truly see
That I can trust no one

What is a dream?
A dream is something that you want to come true
A dream is something that is treasured no matter old or new

A true dream is a thing that you would climb upon the highest mountain
And reach the top of the highest peak
A dream is something that is special to you
Because everyone is truely unique

A dream is truely a piece of art
Beacause to achieve one all you have to
Is believe it in your heart

I open my eyes up
And I see the world as it is
I ask myself is this how it's going to be
I ask myself are we really free

What choices do I have
Hillary or Trump
Like seriously man
Are you kidding me

One people say is a liar and cheat
The other one people say is a racist with a hair piece
Are these really the choices I have
Must I just accept the world as it is

Either way the USA is gonna take a lost
I know we must pick a president but at what costs
Either way its gonna be a downfall
The american citizens are gonna take it the hardest of all

This is the world as it is
But the presidential polls
Isn't the only thing that is taking its toll

Black lives matters yes they do
But to me all lives matter that is a true fact too
Cops killing innocent people without conviction is wrong
But we can not retaliate on the police an take their lives
For two wrongs
Do not make a right

What happened to the peace that MLK wanted
He wanted us all to get along
Is that wrong?
Must I just accept the world as it is?
This is basically just me expressing my concern for my country

— The End —
