The tubes go in and out,
of me.
The machines bleep to the
the rhythm of my heart,
which is disrupted,
due to a waltz.
The waltz of my soul,
slowly,
as I watch it swirl into
the splendid abyss.
I rewind, on the edge;
of my life's glories.
Oh! I lived.
I think of my future,
on Earth,
As I venture deeper,
into the abyss
This is dedicated to all the souls lost to this pandemic and to all those who grieve their loss. May they rest in peace
