By implementing systems that provide a means to elevated status and exposure in exchange for money, I feel that you're undermining the heart of art. I know it sounds pretentious of me to say, and I know in fact it actually is, but would you allow me in for just a second only to hear me out?
There has been a trend in history, a trend you can't deny, where some of the most powerful voices of their times had bled art all their lives to die ashamed and penniless, only later to be recognized with a sincere look.
So here we are again, on a platform that runs on donations, yet feels the need to offer special favors to only the artists with the means to provide, when the art of keeping art alive is well enough. Excuse me for saying, but I have a severe complaint.
I feel this is not a platform for artists at all, it's a business self supported by the invested elite. It's a bubble of masturbatory minds with their eyes the shape of dollar signs.
