I dip my toe into the trembling pool,
the water is quaking and I'm shaking too.
I like it, but wonder what harm it could do
if the water were to be too wet or too blue?

I'm used to walking on dry, hard land
in circles for hours and hours on end
What if I end up doing it wrong?
Maybe it's easier to pretend.

I sit by the pool,
dangle my legs off the edge:
"Look, look I'm swimming!" I said.
