Its like out of a book
she came to me
I can still read her lips
telling a different story
singing a different song
the hands of time turning
but her pages didn't bore me
Judged a book by the cover
and her subject matter took over me.
amazing me
the memory just a memory
believe you me
Fell for each other
like the arms of the wind
in holy matrimony
and she was gone on whim
like the breathe that left me
the sweetness turned sour
and bitterness took over -
It taught me that love is real
feelings are the only things phony
even though you feel them
there are never really there,
in the present, you're lonely
so no matter how good it feels in the moment
in a moment it all ends, she didn't even wait, to show me.
