Head is pounding
Heart is sounding

I can feel it
in my bones,
the enmity within.

Skin is pulsing
Mind convulsing

My thoughts wander
to somewhere
violent and empty.

Fists are shaking
Knees are breaking

Yet I pretend
that I am
triumphantly merry.

Lies are spoken
My heart broken

But this time my
words will be
shamelessly recessive,

And my anger
will subside
into it's submission,

Like the rest of me.
