Here we are,
As we were before,
Only never to be the same.
You took the pieces of my heart
But I'm the only one there is to blame.
I took the risk and placed myself in the rain;
Who would've ever thought with such a smile
Your words could bring me so much pain?
Yet you don't see the difference in me,
You genuinely think I am happy,
And I suppose I truly was,
In the memories of
My brain.
