May 2015
I went out in the rain last night
With a soothing tap-pat on the roof
It nearly lulled me to sleep all right
But dream-spoke to come out for a gift
  and said only the truth

I padded, I glided to the door
And was rushed by the fresh rain-air,
I sunk my toes in puddles for more;
Arms flung wide, head back, feet bare

Lilacs and thunder smelled on the rain
And so I spun 'round and 'round
Not out for long, but I'll go back again;
To soak in the cold, fresh and the sound
