I dream in lies
mistellings sealing the creases of my closed eyes.
I wear my truth like a disguise,
purple hearts
shrunken down to size.
I bleed in watercolors,
get high off the galaxy's sighs.
And I dream of a lover,
who'd still love me when he's by my side.
